It is difficult for those with Asperger syndrome to interact among people.They have difficulty in understanding thoughts and they are lack of social skills,thus a variety of troubles in social adaptation.Research overseas indicates for every 10,000 people,there are 36 to 48 who suffer from Asperger syndrome.The cognitive and intellectual development of these groups is normal,which makes it very difficult to detect behavioral problems in early stage.In most cases,the best stage of diagnosis and rehabilitation is missed as parents had not discovered certain syndrome during childhood.In adolescence,those with Asperger syndrome are confronted with problems of self-identification.However,because of social ability limitation,it is difficult for them to communicate with peers.This academic research focuses on the social problems of adolescents with Asperger syndrome.The research starts with the case study of Asperger syndrome in H Street in Guangzhou.It is based on qualitative and action study from the perspective of ecosystem theory.It collected information and assessed needs from the subjects’ microsystem,mesosystem,and macro-system.With professional social work intervention in the service of case work,the research intends to help the subjects to learn social skills and build good peer relationships in school.Through practice of case work,the author finds that the method of case work can achieve the goal of service in a targeted manner and receive better service effect.Through practice,this academic research explores the entry point of case work involved in social problems of adolescents with Asperger’s syndrome.It also summarizes the deficiencies of social workers in practical work and puts forward some suggestions.
