The Design And Implementation Of Campus Dormitory Management System Based On Face Recognition

With the popularization of higher education in these years,the number of student groups has risen sharply,which has led to the growing size of colleges and universities.A series of problems in campus management are followed,and on the top of list is the severe test of college students’ daily accommodation management.Traditional and old management concepts and models are not suitable for the growing number of students and theirs requirements.Problems such as shortage of managers,inefficiency,error-prone and different kinds of problems appear continuously,and the disorder management methods also cause resources profligacy and repetitive work.In order to solve the above problems,researching and developing new kinds of dormitory management systems based on digital and information technology have become inevitable,which can greatly alleviate the problems faced by colleges and universities in the management of dormitory with other new technical Support.This paper design implements a dormitory management system based on face recognition system.Through the insert function of OpenCV,the photos of face taken by the device are transmitted to the system program,and then get the face feature value combined by HOG gradient histogram and YOLO neural network algorithm processing,compare it with the information of the personnel entered into the system previously to implement the face recognition function;On the other hand,based on the information collected by the identification device,a dormitory management system based on the B/S three-tier structure is developed to integrate and count the information of students and other personnel,and to coordinate with other system information of the university to achieve student attendance and personnel control.In addition,the system also has a number of business management involved in the daily life of the students,through the platform managers can quickly and easily deal with the applications and respond to the applicant,and achieve the purpose of highly information management.This research work of the thesis is divided into three stages: Firstly,analyze the current situation according to the problems faced by domestic and foreign universities,and then evaluate the development prospects of the system from the technical requirements and application environments;The second stage is that investigate the user objects and functional requirements involved in the system platform,design thearchitecture of the system and the various functional modules and databases combined with the actual situation,model and analyze the feasibility of the system implementation;Finally,implement and deploy the dormitory management system in accordance with design and requirements standards,and test its function and operation.The system platform has the following characteristics.(1)The system adopts face recognition biometric technology as the source of information for personnel to access the dormitory area.Its accuracy and efficient features greatly improve the management efficiency and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data;(2)The structured system design covers all aspects of the students’ daily accommodation.The simple and convenient operation interface reflects the system’s ease of use and versatility;(3)The scalable system prepares for the subsequent development of the system and docking with other systems,and paves the way for digital campus.
