Identity In Conflict

College graduates rebuild their identity and change their role when they get into society,the internal environment also changed from production society to consumer society.In the environment of consumer society,the way which some of the college graduates rebuild their identity admit choose to use symbolic consumption,but they get a new identity after they work hard,which called “new poor ”.This research is based on the view of identity admit and mainly discuss the phenomenon of “new poor” in college graduates,include who is the new poor and which group it is in college graduates;and why to choose the way of consume to build their identity,how to deal the identity position when the college graduates build their society identity.From the activity attitude and daily consumption to acquire what deep information in consumer society and how to find identity to build the discuss.This thesis is based on 30 college graduates case study and find that college graduates in consumer society has crisis in identity admit,and the college graduates don't reflect their society importance in this crisis,it is also harmful to the development when they get into society.It is reflect on missing self value,sense of belonging and sense of identity,and symbolic consumption make up for these missing in consumer society because of symbolic consumption can build the identity of college graduates and it can build taste,relationship and judging status.When the college graduates try to use symbolic consumption to make up their missing,the economic reserve is hard to support them.This cycle input make their life exhausted,the economic status crumble and become the identity of "new poor".
