In order to explore the extent to which Number Board Games support the development of Mathematical Ability and Executive Function of children aged 5-6.The present study attempted to use a mixed two factors experimental design of 2(time: pretest and posttest)×3(group:experimental group, control group 1,control group 2).In this study,92 children aged 5-6 are divided at random into experimental group and control group.Firstly,Early Mathematical Ability test,Number Line Estimation task and Executive Function task are used to investigate children's Mathematical Ability and Executive Function(pretest).Secondly, children in the experimental group are intervened with Number Board Games, and children in the control group 1 will play riddle guessing games, control group 2 will not receive any intervention. Finally, the Mathematical Ability and Executive Function of children in the three groups will be tested respectively, and we are going to discuss the factors that affect the effectiveness of the intervention. The conclusions are as follows:(1)Number Board Games can promote the development of Mathematical Ability of children aged 5-6.(2)Number Board Games can promote the development of Executive Function of children aged 5-6.(3)Groups,family culture capital, pretest score have effects on the intervention effect differently.According to the results, the researchers put forward several suggestions.Firstly,we should pay attention to the role of Number Board Games and increase the opportunities for children to play games.Secondly,we need to choose appropriate game materials to let children learn in operation.Thirdly,we should design reasonable game playing methods to promote children's development step by step.Fourthly, create a game situation of peer cooperation to promote children's common development.Fifth, according to the individual differences of children, play the role of games on different individuals.
