The fundamental task of the university is to train talents.As a foothold for talent development,student development is not only a key indicator for measuring university level,establishing university status,and determining the future of the university,but also an important factor reflecting the strength of the country.Throughout the world,the process of popularization of higher education is often accompanied by an increasingly prominent quality of education,as is our country.Although the state's investment in higher education has continued to increase in recent years,the quality of higher education cannot be synchronized due to the increase in the cost of higher education and the pursuit of quality higher education resources.It can be expected that the quality of higher education will still exist for some time to come.In this context,it is particularly important to focus on student development issues.There are many studies on student development,but there are few studies using the review and evaluation of self-assessment reports to study student development issues.The self-evaluation report of the audit evaluation is based on the actual situation of the university to establish evaluation criteria,conduct evaluation and form the evaluation report of the university itself,which can reflect its own real situation and has good reliability and validity.In addition,the self-evaluation report of the audit evaluation reflect the development of students a lot and are more suitable for studying the development of students.This paper takes 70 colleges and universities to review and evaluate the self-assessment report as the research object,and uses text analysis method combined with Nvivo11 software to study the students' development issues.The study found that the current student development problems in Chinese universities mainly focus on the concept of learning and learning,as well as the ability and ability to cultivate.The above problems are reflected in different degrees in different types and levels of colleges and universities.In this study,according to the different types of schools,colleges and universities are divided into three types: science and engineering categories,comprehensive categories and other categories.According to the different levels of schools,universities are divided into “double-class” universities and non-“double-class” universities.Generally speaking,in different types of colleges and universities,in the shaping of the concept of learning and learning,the problems of comprehensive colleges and universities are more prominent;in terms of ability and ability training,the problems of science and engineering colleges are more obvious.Among the universities at different levels,the above problems are outstanding in non-"double-class" universities.As far as the concept of student development in colleges and universities is concerned,there is a resource-oriented student development concept and a content-oriented student development concept in Chinese universities.Compared with the mature concept of foreign students,it is still relatively old and backward.The reason behind this is mainly due to the imperfect evaluation and assessment mechanism of student development and the unreasonable allocation of resources within the school.Under the guidance of the students' development theory,this paper draws on the mature student development concept of foreign universities,and puts forward suggestions for China's colleges and universities in optimizing resource allocation,strengthening campus culture construction,weakening management orientation,strengthening professional development of management personnel,and improving service awareness.The results of this study have important research implications in a number of ways.For college students,it is helpful to promote education and teaching activities to better adapt to the development needs of students from the perspective of students,and to promote students' knowledge,movements,emotions and skills in the aspects of enrollment,admission,training and employment.For colleges and universities,it helps colleges and universities to adjust their training methods in the process of education and teaching,pay attention to students' development needs and feedback on education and teaching activities,adhere to the development of students,and promote the improvement of students' quality.For the society,paying attention to student development is concerned with the quality of higher education products,and attaching importance to student development reflects the strong voice of the higher education sector and even the society.The student development problem revealed in this study also helps to get the education administration department to face up to the situation and stimulate the introduction of corresponding policies,so as to promote the development of students in the macro environment and further improve the quality of higher education.
