The rural market is an important part of the social-economic trading system. The rural market has a long history as an important carrier of rural social-economic activities. The market has played a leading role in the rural economic trading system. With the acceleration of urbanization and modernization, especially the rise of modern business models such as e-commerce,supermarkets and express delivery in recent years, the rural market economy has been affected by many factors. The development prospects are full of uncertainty. But so far,it is still rooted in the rural social structure, embedded in the daily production and life of the people in China's grassroots society, playing an important role in meeting the needs of life, promoting material flow, constructing social networks, carrying cultural traditions, and entertaining people's lives. The research subject of this article,“The Marketer”,is the participant of the market.Their economic behavior, social roles, interpersonal interactions in the market life, their daily life situations outside the market, and their thinking, shows the multi-dimensional social image of contemporary township society from another perspective, and it also provides an effective way for us to understand the lifestyle of the “catch-up” as a specific social group. In previous studies, researchers focused on the study of the economic development of the rural market, the structure and operation of rural market trading systems, and the changes of the rural market in social transformation. But less attention is paid to the market participants. This paper selects the Yuliangpu market in Tongliao City,Inner Mongolia as a case study.Based on the anthropological theory,it is based on the field investigation and supplemented by literature research to conduct a holistic ethnographic study on the economic behavior and daily life of the market. This paper is based on the author's field investigation in the Yuliangpumarket. The main part is composed of six parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the origin of the topic and the significance of the topic, the research situation at home and abroad, the research methods of the research and the field investigation, and also defines the related concepts. The first chapter is mainly to sort out the geography, history and current social and cultural environment of Yuliangpu Town,Tongliao City,Inner Mongolia, where the grain market is located,to understand the evolution of the Yuliangpu market and the living environment of “the marketers”,and to provide the background of the livelihood selection of the marketers. The second chapter mainly analyzes the identity of the marketers and the market-driven motivations of the marketers. The definition of the self-identity of “the marketer” and the professional understanding of “the marketer” has a certain influence on the social interaction and interpersonal interaction in the rural society. The third chapter is based on the field investigation, which mainly describes and analyzes the economic activities and social interactions of the“marketers” in the market. The economic behavior of the marketers is determined to a certain extent by the local social and economic structure. At the same time,it is also carried out according to the local logic of local custom. The fourth chapter mainly describes the life after the "flights" scattered, and makes a detailed analysis of its current predicament. The family life of“the marketers”,including their children's education and daily interaction activities,is also carried out around the market. The conclusion part summarizes the full text from the logical level and further discusses related issues. The main points of this paper are:First of all,“the marketers” as a dual identity of traders and farmers directly or indirectly affects their economic behavior, social relations, interpersonal interaction and daily life.Secondly,on one hand, the economic behavior of "the marketers" shows the economic rationality of pursuing the maximization of interests and it also practices the local logic of the local society with a strong human condition and good face on the other.“The marketer” will adopt different coping strategies when facing acquaintances, strangers and peers.Third, the rural market is in a special field of township society. There are some non-institutional market rules and trading methods, which are different from the characteristics of the modern market economy. It provides us with a vivid picture to understand different economic concepts and economic activities. Finally, the predicaments and problems faced by “the marketers” are related to the stability and harmonious development of rural society and should attract the attention of the government and the whole society.
