Research On The Ethics Of Competitive Sports From The Perspective Of Genetic Engineering

With the development of science and technology,gene engineering is gradually getting mature.The application of genetic engineering technology in the research of sports science is another important issue of human genome research.In modern competitive sports,one cannot win just by physical advantage.Under the joint efforts of multi-disciplinary experts,the scientific and technological content of competitive sports is getting higher and higher.From the selection of athletes to athletes training,from the recovery of sports fatigue to the treatment of sports injuries,etc.All of these have a strong relationship with science and technology.The general application of science and technology in competitive sports has become an indispensable means and booster for the development of competitive sports.The aim of this dissertation is to study the problems caused by the application of genetic engineering in competitive sports area at home and abroad.The dissertation analyzes these issues from ethics perspective and tries to find the best solutions to these problems for the healthy and stable development of competitive sports in China.The author collected and read the recent domestic and foreign genetic engineering,competitive sports,competitive sports ethics,ethics and other related books,publications and other references.Thus,a clear understanding of the relationship between genetic engineering and competitive sports has been understood.The ethical problems of genetic engineering in the application of competitive sports and other important issues are analyzed multi-dimensionally through the comprehensive use of philosophy,ethics,sports science,sociology and other related theoretical knowledge.In the first chapter,the author defines the concept of competitive sports,expounds the characteristics and significance of competitive sports.In the second chapter,the author makes a detailed introduction to the concept of genetic engineering and its application in the field of competitive sports,Such as genetic engineering and athlete selection,genetic engineering and recovery of exercise fatigue,genetic engineering and treatment of sports injuries,genetic engineering and doping and anti-doping,etc.Despite the promising prospect of genetic engineering,there are still some difficult problems waiting to solve.In the third chapter,the author summarizes the alienation phenomenon caused by the application of gene technology in competitive sports,and analyzes the causes of the alienation of competitive sports from the perspective of human nature,politics,economy,culture,law and so on.The main reasons of the transforming of competitive sports lie in the viciousness of human nature,the thick political atmosphere,the raising of commercialization,the lagging behind of the ethic researches of genetic technology application in competitive sports and the imperfection of legal system.After clarifying the relationship between genetic engineering and competitive sports,the author combines the four basic ethical principles: the principle of respect,of no harming,of beneficiary and of justice and analyzes the problem caused by the application of genetic engineering technology in the sports field from an ethical perspective.Finally,In order to deal with the problems arising from the application of genetic engineering in the field of competitive sports and promote the healthy development of China’s competitive sports and sports,the author puts forward constructive suggestions and strategies from variety angles of society,academy,economy and politics.
