Teaching Research On Promoting Students' Chemistry Understanding Literacy Development

With the gradual advancement of the new curriculum reform,the level of scientific literacy of the public in China has also improved,but overall it still lags behind the Western countries.Cultivating and developing students' scientific literacy has become the core goal of science education.The main purpose of science education is to cultivate and develop students' cognitive literacy.The main purpose of the basic education chemistry curriculum is to cultivate and develop students' ways and level of understanding objective things from a chemical perspective.However,existing research has found that students have a large amount of chemistry.Knowledge does not have the corresponding chemical awareness.In order to cultivate high-quality citizens who are adapted to the new era,it is imperative to develop students' scientific literacy.Understanding literacy is the embodiment of scientific literacy.The formation and development of students' understanding literacy needs to be implemented in specific chemistry classroom teaching.Therefore,this study proposes a teaching design method and teaching strategy based on the development of students' chemical understanding literacy through the investigation of the current situation of chemistry classroom teaching and learning and the status of students' chemistry knowledge,in order to provide some reference for the study of cultivating students' chemistry knowledge.Based on literature review,understand the relevant research status of cognitive development,cognitive literacy development and the components of cognitive literacy.Based on the research of experts and scholars,the corresponding questionnaires were designed.Two parallels of the first grade of Y High School in Laibin City were selected.The class was used as a research object to conduct a questionnaire survey.In conjunction with interviews between teachers and students,we will understand the current situation of chemistry class implementation and the status of students' understanding of literacy.Under the guidance of epistemology,cognitive structure learning theory,constructivism theory and humanism theory,the teaching design principles based on the development of students' chemical cognition literacy are proposed:subjective principle,constructive principle,exploratory principle and comprehensive principle.The corresponding teaching strategies are constructed: creating contexts,inspiring understanding;problem-driven,developing understanding;collaborative exploration,constructing understanding;attaching importance to practice,consolidating understanding;summarizing and deepening understanding.In order to verify the effectiveness of the teaching strategy,this study designed the teaching case with the elements and their compounds in the compulsory chemistry of the People's Education Edition as the content carrier,and carried out the teaching practice research to explore how to promote students' understanding of development and cultivate students' chemical awareness literacy.Through teaching practice,questionnaire survey and student interviews,the students' learning attitudes and changes in chemical literacy development before and after teaching practice are compared.It is found that chemistry teaching that promotes students' understanding of literacy development can motivate students' enthusiasm for learning and improve students' active participation in classrooms.It can train students to understand the material world from a chemical perspective and use chemical knowledge and scientific methods to analyze and solve problems;it can improve the academic performance of students' chemistry subjects.Due to the limited time of this research and the lack of experience,the research process and conclusions have yet to be improved.It is hoped that in the later work and study,the number of samples and the scope of investigation will be expanded,and investigation and practice research will be carried out among students at different levels.After long-term practice,the teaching strategies proposed in this study will be further tested and improved.
