Real number teaching plays an important role in junior high school teaching,and it is an important basis for students to learn follow-up knowledge.Through literature research and interviews with teachers and students,this study conducted a questionnaire for the eighth grade students in my school.Data analysis is used to study the status of students' mastery of six dimensions of mathematical knowledge,including concepts,representation,classification,nature,operation and application.Five aspects of knowledge errors,examination errors,thinking errors,operation errors and bad habits,to explore which types of errors in each dimension belong to.In order to find the error-prone points of real number teaching and provide suggestions for teaching practice.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)In terms of real number related concepts,students do not have a solid grasp,especially in the form of reciprocal and square root letters,the error rate that is relatively high.(2)In the aspect of real number representation,the error rate of eighth grade students is higher in the range of approximate number and scientific counting representation.(3)In the classification of real numbers,students have a vague understanding of the definitions of rational numbers and irrational numbers,especially the concept of irrational numbers.(4)In the nature of real numbers,students' errors mainly lie in two aspects:non-negative quadratic roots and simplifying arithmetic square roots according to figures.(5)In the aspect of real number operation,students can't use the operation law flexibly,the order of calculation is not clear,especially the closed understanding of real numbers is not enough.(6)In the application of real numbers,the comprehensiveness of practical problems needs to be improved.It is a arduous task to reduce students' errors.Through research and analysis,this paper puts forward the following teaching suggestions: Firstly,helping students improve their knowledge structure from various perspectives.Secondly,let students pay attention to examining questions ideologically and cultivate students' habit of reading conscientiously.Thirdly,strengthening basic skills training to improve students' computing ability.What's more,using multiple solutions to one question and one.Lastly,standardizing the writing format and cultivate students' good habit of answering.
