Number concept is an important form of the development of children's mathematical thinking,which can directly reflect thoughts about numbers formed by children influenced by a specific environment.According to it the mental developmental level of children can be learned and the influences of different environments,such as natural environment,human environment,ethnic background on children's development can be analyzed,from which suggestions on what education strategies should be taken in different cultural backgrounds to achieve better education can be provided.Therefore,the study on number concept of children is of great significance.This study selected 196 children in lower grades.SPSS statistical tool was used for statistical analysis on the data and the conclusion was finally drawn.In the preface,the paper puts forward the question of the topic and the significance of the topic,and defines the related concepts and related literature review.Prior to this study,number concept research has made a series of achievements,but it also has some shortcomings:first of all,the number of researches on cross cultural status of the number concept is relatively small;secondly,the existing ethnic studies of number concept ignore the fact that differences within ethnic groups lead to differences of the developmental levels of number concept;thirdly,there are relatively few studies on the natural environment where ethnic groups are located,on ethnic background as well as ethnic language and culture.Importance is attached to the impact of school education on the developmental level of children's number concept.The first chapter describes the general developmental level of Xi de County lower-grade Yi-ethnic children's number concept by analyzing children's number concept measurement scale,and further deduces the characteristics of the development of Yi-ethnic children's number concept.The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of Xi de County Yi-ethnic children's number concept from many aspects.A variety of factors will influence children's number concept,among which the roles of language and school education are particularly evident.Teaching with Yi language has a positive effect on lower-grade children's number concept development.The third chapter proposed relevant suggestions mainly from the aspects of school,family and educational function.
