During the process of my teaching practice in Thailand,we found that students can communicate with each other in spoken language after learning some Chinese knowledge,but there are still many problems in writing.We often encountered the situation which makes readers fell that the cohesion of each clause is not compact,and can not grasp the main idea of their text.This paper takes primary Chinese-learners' compositions as my corpus,which come from Wutthiwitthaya School of Thailand.Based on the theory of discourse cohesion,this paper makes an analysis of Cohesion Errors in students' compositions by means of grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion.We conclude that there are five types of errors in the use of ? cohesive devices in written discourse: misuse,redundancy,absence,disorder and repetition.Then,on the basis of summarizing the errors,the causes are found: the Particularity of Chinese,negative transfer of mother tongue,interference of existing target language knowledge,teachers' teaching and students' own factors(The Use of Emotional Factors and Avoidance Strategies).Finally,specific suggestions are put forward according to the characteristics and causes of learners' errors.
