The development and progress of society need innovative talents.Creativity is the core quality of innovative talents,so it is necessary to foster creativity.The primary education is the best period for fostering creativity,and rural education is weak area for the development of education in China,it neglects to foster students' creativity,so it is necessary to pay more attention to fostering the creativity of rural primary school students.This study is believed that the creativity is the intellectual quality of students get the new,unique and personal value results through their own thinking and research in the process of learning.It includes five elements: curiosity,imagination,critical thinking,intuition and inspiration.And the development needs to be promoted by two factors which are free and leisure.This study understand the current situation on creativity fostering of rural primary school students through literature survey,observational method and interview,and it is divided into four aspects about the problems of creativity fostering of the rural primary school students: firstly,school educators are lack of the idea in fostering primary school students' creativity;secondly,there are few factors in the cultivation environment that are benefit to the creativity fostering of primary school students;thirdly,there are not good enough for fostering the primary school students' creativity during the process about the curriculum,teaching contents,teaching methods and teaching assessment;fourthly,the primary school students' creativity fostering are restrained because of there are lack of the leisure and freedom.The reasons for the problems of creativity fostering of rural primary school students are mainly as follows: first,teachers are about the cultivation ideas,including the lack of independent study of creativity fostering awareness and creativity training;and the second is the cultivation environment,the school educators neglects the construction of the campus and class environment which will be benefited of creativity fostering;the third is the cultivation process,including the insufficient number of teachers,the content of teachers who are can not studying the creativity materials,teachers master the methods areinsufficient about the creativity fostering and the over-emphasis of education highlight the screening function of education;the fourth is the development conditions,including the misunderstanding of leisure and the wide range of control over students.In view of the problems performance and cause analysis,this study also put forward corresponding solutions from four aspects: cultivation concept,cultivation environment,cultivation process and development conditions.
