As we all know,basketball was originally invented by Americans,but what is interesting is that it was promoted and developed by Mexicans.Basketball was originally introduced to Mexico from the United States.Because of the novel popularity of the game,it quickly became popular in the area.It has opened the foundation for global promotion.China was the first to contact the sport in 1896.It was later than other countries,and it was only recognized as a formal competition by the state in 1913.The development of basketball on campus has a positive effect on promoting school sports,enhancing the health of young people,and cultivating sports reserve talents.In order to promote the popularization of campus basketball and improve the Chinese basketball reserve talent system,it was decided to select and build a number of campus basketball characteristic schools nationwide.As of 2017,China's first batch of 1976 school basketball schools were selected.The Guangdong Provincial Department of Education also selected 133 national campus basketball schools,including 28 campus basketball schools in Guangzhou.This paper investigates and studies six middle schools in 28 youth campus basketball schools in Guangzhou through literature methods,questionnaires,expert interviews,field trips,mathematical statistics and other research methods,mainly studying Guangzhou youth campuses.The current situation of basketball-specific schools,a brief summary of the status quo,exploring existing problems and proposing corresponding measures.It provides theoretical basis and decision-making reference for the development of campus basketball characteristic schools in the future.The results of the survey show that the basketball team members of the Guangzhou Campus Basketball Characteristic Middle School have prominent contradictions,and the basketball team participates in fewer competitions each year.The framework of the campus basketball league has not been developed.The teacher team structure is basically reasonable,the age is aging,the teachers with high education level are lacking,some teachers have lack of theoretical knowledge and skills in basketball,the teaching and training level needs to be improved,thetraining at high level and the opportunity to improve theoretical knowledge.Rarely,the overall expectations for the development of campus basketball are high.The venue and equipment can meet the teaching and training needs.The overall construction of the venue is relatively balanced,but the number of venues is generally small,the quality of the venue is uneven,and the utilization rate is not high.At the same time,from the continuous development of campus basketball characteristic schools,the source of funds is single and insufficient,mainly because the cost of participating in the league cannot be guaranteed,the equipment required for extracurricular basketball activities is still insufficient,and the security guarantee system is not perfect.In the basketball class,the traditional class teaching system is adopted,which is difficult to teach.The basketball class teaching content is relatively simple,and it is difficult to mobilize the enthusiasm of students to learn.Factors affecting the development of campus basketball schools in Guangzhou include:government orientation factors,school factors,economic level factors,“teaching relationship”factors and social family factors.Among them,the government factor has the greatest impact,indicating that policy intervention has the greatest impact on the development of campus basketball schools in Guangzhou.
