"Mathematical Abstraction" is not a new word in recent years,but a review of literature and books at home and abroad shows that most of the domestic researches on mathematical abstraction and mathematical abstraction ability are theoretical researches on the connotation,definition and division of mathematical abstraction.However,the empirical researches on the measurement of students' mathematical abstraction ability are especially few and lack the support of actual data.As a result,the research on " mathematical abstraction" is more theoretical and less practical,and even front-line teachers do not know much about this part of content and are more difficult to apply in mathematics classes.Firstly,this paper collects the domestic and foreign research literatures and periodicals on mathematical abstraction over the years,sorts them out,and summarizes the connotation,hierarchical division and research methods of mathematical abstraction.Then,based on the new high school curriculum standards and textbooks,and referring to Zimmerman's independent learning theory,a questionnaire on mathematics abstract ability of high school students is compiled from five aspects of personal basic information,mathematics learning habits,teachers' teaching,use of teaching aids and family education to investigate the current learning status of students and the current educational status of schools and families.After that,based on the division criteria of mathematical abstraction levels in professor Shi ningzhong's " introduction to mathematical thought",and taking the knowledge of functions and geometry in compulsory one and compulsory two for senior high school mathematics as the carrier,the paper for measuring mathematical abstraction ability was designed to evaluate the students' mathematical abstraction ability,and appropriate training suggestions were given.By analyzing the survey data,we can draw the following conclusions: most students think that the reason for their mistakes in the process of doing the questions is that they cannot understand the meaning of the questions or can not connect with the knowledge they have learned;Teachers in key high schools in the city do better than key teachers in the county in such links as classroom examples,classroom questions and group presentations.The classroom atmosphere is more active and helps to cultivate and develop students' mathematical thinking.Although the key high schools in the county are equipped with multimedia,most teachers still choose blackboard writing and direct teaching method,which ignores the cultivation of students' abstract mathematical ability.At the stage of simplicity,students' abstract ability is relatively weak,and even students with good mathematics level are difficult to make.In the abstraction of solid geometry,the county high school students scored very low.Mathematics abstract ability is related to gender.Male and female students have the greatest difference in abstract ability in the contracted stage,mainly in geometry and mathematical language description.
