Research On High School Biology Instructional Design Based On "Problem Continuum"

The "Problem Continuum" teaching mode is proposed in response to the requirements of China's new round of curriculum reform.We adopt the "Problem Continuum" teaching mode in high school biology classes,and use the continuous problems as the teaching structure,we employ the situational,pluralistic and interactive problem solving in the whole teaching process,with the teaching,learning,participation and evaluation well integrated.Students not only master the results of scientific understanding,but also acquire the experience and methods to solve problems,and further cultivate their thinking ability.Therefore,this study uses literature methods,questionnaires,empirical research methods and case studies to propose and study the application of the "Problem Continuum" mode in the instructional design of high school biology classes.This paper first conducts a questionnaire survey on some high school biology teachers to get a knowledge of the status quo of their problem teaching in biology classes.On the basis of this,the two parallel classes taught by the author are taken as the research objects.In a variety of classes like the new lesson teaching,experimental lesson teaching and review lesson,the author adopt the "Problem Continuum" mode in one class(class 1),and carry out the traditional teaching mode in the other class(class 2).After three months,the post-test comparison shows that the students in class 1 have significantly improved in their biological achievements,biological interest,problem-solving ability and innovative thinking ability.The case study results for different course types also display that the"Problem Continuum" mode as an operational tool offers a "problem" system with comprehensive function,which help teachers standardize problems when they design the lessons.The "Problem Continuum" teaching mode begins with the individual facts that is familiar to the students,and then by summarizing and concluding them to form concepts,laws or principles,and raises them to the theoretical level to solve practical problems and form a continuous problem system.By setting the problem of open structural defects,the teacher can find ways to liberate multiple problems from different angles of thinking,and even have no so-called correct methods and conclusions,to provide students with a broad space for creativity.Therefore,in the high school biology classroom teaching,we should actively carry out the "problem continuum" mode,which not only means the application of basic knowledge,but also realizes the development of students' ability and the perfection of personality.
