Number Sense,Symbol Sense,Spatial Concept,Statistical Concept,Applied Consciousness,Reasoning Ability,which are 6 key words that were highlighted in the previous Curriculum Standards.According to the revision of Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 edition),Computing Power,Model Thinking,Innovation,Geometric Intuition are added into the content and Symbolic-graphic Combination is even more Clearly emphasized.Abstract truth certainly is important,but we need to make them capable to learn and use by students,especially the lower grade students of elementary school.The Number and Shape combination is absolutely a good way leading to that,which changes the abstract into the visible as not only a mathematics thought but also a problem solving tool throughout the students' whole mathematics learning career.Based on this,the research focused on elementary mathematics classrooms,research is carried out on how to implement the combination of mathematics and form.The literature method,interview method,case analysis method and observation method were used to discover the problems in the combination of mathematics and teaching in the lower grades of elementary school,and the reasons for the problems were analyzed to propose strategies for improvement.The research mainly has the following aspects:The first is to analyze the combination of numbers and forms from a theoretical perspective,and propose three basic characteristics of the combination of numbers and forms:Information attributes numbers and diagrams;thinking qualities;intuitive thinking and abstract thinking;information exchange one-way and two-way,and the value of combining numbers and forms.The second is through in-depth interviews with primary school teachers in the primary school and combined with classroom observations of some of the teachers to find out the problems in the combination of mathematics and mathematics for primary school teachers in the primary school.details as follows:Through the interviews and classroom observation,The teachers also got some problems in using Number with Shape Combination teaching.Here are the reasons that may explain the problems above.-Some teachers have limited ability in teaching by combining numbers and shapes;-Some teachers do not fully grasp the connotation of the combining numbers and shapes;-Some Teachers' inadequate analysis of the content of the combining numbers and shapes intextbooks;-No request in teaching with Numbers and Shapes from school;-Few platforms for teachers to learn this teaching method.This research has focused mathematics teaching with Number and Shape of grade one and grade two in primary school,by using literature retrieve,interviewing,observation,and case analysis.On the basis of this research,I put forward the following improvement strategies:-Promote the teachers' Discipline professional literacy;-Carefully excavate the combination of numbers and shapes in the textbook;-Optimize Number with Shape Combination teaching design;-Cultivate students' ability to Shape Combination in the teaching process.
