The Impact Mechanism Of Entrepreneurial Role Model On College Students' Entrepreneurial Intention

With the transformation of China's economic development mode and the enrollment of colleges and universities continued to expand,the employment of college students have become an inevitable problem.Entrepreneurship not only creates jobs,but also plays an important role in promoting economic growth(Carlsson et al.,2009)and technological progress(Goodale et al.,2011).Entrepreneurship as a way of employment,especially the self-entrepreneurship of college students,has been increasingly popular.As a best predictor of entrepreneurial behavior of college students,entrepreneurial intention has obtained attention.However,the existing literature is not clear about the research on the relationship between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention.Therefore,in order to deeply explore the impact mechanism of entrepreneurial role model on college students' entrepreneurial intention,based on social cognitive career theory,this study uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,statistical analysis and other methods.And based on structural equation modeling,our study analyzes the role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy,outcome expectation and entrepreneurial interest between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention.Based on the theory of social cognitive career,this paper analyzes the survey data of 162 Chinese college students.Theoretical analysis and empirical test were conducted on the relationship between entrepreneurial role model,entrepreneurial self-efficacy,outcome expectation,entrepreneurial interest and entrepreneurial intention.The empirical results show that:(1)Entrepreneurial role model has a positive impact on entrepreneurial self-efficacy and outcome expectation;(2)Entrepreneurship self-efficacy and outcome expectation have a positive impact on entrepreneurial interest;(3)Entrepreneurial interest has a positive impact on entrepreneurial intention;(4)Outcome expectation plays an intermediary role in the relationship between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention;(5)Entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial interest have a chain intermediary role between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention;outcome expectation and entrepreneurial interest have a chain intermediary role between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention.The main contributions and innovations of this article are as follows.Firstly,taking entrepreneurial choice as a career choice has enriched the research of social cognitive career theory in the field of entrepreneurship.Secondly,based on social cognitive career theory to study the relationship between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention.Entrepreneurial role model is regarded as a learning experience to better understanding of this relationship,while taking into account the role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy,outcome expectation and entrepreneurial interest,expanding the research in related directions.
