Max Weber is a veritable philosophical thinker with influence and social vitality;he is a great social theorist in Germany, known as a wonderful work in the development of social theory, and one of the most attractive 20 th century thinkers in the field of social science research. In the systematic and in-depth study of capitalism,Max Weber can keep pace with Marx.He was the first theorist to use the "rationality" theory to analyze the essence of capitalism and its modernization evolution.Max Weber focused on the "rationality" theory in "Protestant Ethics and Spirit of Capitalism","Academic and Politics","Economy and Society" and other works. The article uses the dual dimensions of "rationality" and "modernity" as an entry point to interpret Max Weber's "rationality" theoretical connotation, and connects his research on western capitalist society into a whole theoretical connotation through two dimensions. In this way,the "rationality" theory becomes a problem that originates from "rationality" and eventually ends up in "modernity".The "rationality" theory is proposed to transform the concept of "rationality" in modern philosophy,so we use the logical approach of "reason" concept-"rationality" concept-"modernity" concept to explain,so as to better grasp The profound connotation of theory. The "rationality" theory is divided into two forms according to "tool" and "value".This internal differentiation is not always in a balanced state, but is always in a dynamic development process of tension and opposition, because "tools" The unbalanced expression of tension and contradiction between "rationality" and "value rationality" leads to the paradox of "rationality" theory and two major modernity problems. This is also the main analysis of Max Weber's analysis of capitalist society Perspective. After explaining the paradox of "rationality" theory from "rationality" to the theory itself, what we see is not just pessimistic or contradictory Max Weber, but a unique perspective on the modern society of capitalism.Max Weber. On the one hand,he believes that the expansion of "tool rationality" has certain drawbacks. On the other hand,he sees that the development of social economy requires the balance between "tool rationality" and "value rationality" to achieve healthy development. Therefore,in the contemporary social environment, his theory still has great reference significance, especially in theory, economic society, law and personal value pursuit, etc.,which have a certain positive impact on the development of today's social economy.
