Since the end of the 20th century,many countries have carried out education reform with curriculum reform as the core.Affected by this,the curriculum of basic education in Canada is also undergoing continuous changes and development on the basis of previous progress,and the revision of curriculum documents is the key.Since the 1990s,the "history curriculum" document in Ontario,Canada,has experienced four versions of 1998,2004,2013 and 2018,which has brought constant updating and enrichment of content and structure,which is also the embodiment of the independence,contemporaneity,openness and reality of the history curriculum in Ontario.The 2018 "history curriculum" document for grades 7-8 has absorbed the research results of six historical thinking frameworks,and selected four of them(historical significance,causality,continuity and change,historical perspective)as the concept of subject thinking,and integrated them into the curriculum system,providing a fulcrum for the cultivation of students' historical thinking ability,as well as a fulcrum for the development of history curriculum system The construction provides support;at the same time,the "history course" aims to cultivate students' citizenship to help them become qualified citizens in the community and the world,and makes corresponding requirements in the corresponding tools and strategies,learning topics,grade overview;with the supporting,the course content system also presents new features in structure and content,which reflect the calendar of the province.In addition,the teaching mode of history inquiry is to help students master the history,which formulate questions,gather and organize,interpret and analyse,evaluate and draw conclusions,and communication as the main links,and has the flexibility of the inquiry process,pays attention to the use of a variety of historical materials,the diversity and comprehensiveness of inquiry themes,and the diversity of inquiry results The content of the course,the effective methods and strategies to meet the expectations of the history course and develop the ability of historical thinking.Through the study of this document,we can see that:the history course should be revised and improved continuously with the development of the times,the history course should pay attention to the cultivation of students' historical discipline literacy,the history course should emphasize both knowledge learning and ability training,the history course should pay attention to the effective use of the history teaching mode,and the history course should bear the responsibility of cultivating students' civic literacy.
