| In 2020,China will be the biggest university destination for overseas students and the most influential international education and training center in Asia.Thus,in this year,there will be a large number of overseas students to study in China,including those who come to learn traditional Chinese culture,of which martial arts culture is a significant part.Teaching overseas students martial arts is an important way to spread Chinese culture across the world.Therefore,through the methods of literature review,survey,field observation and logical analysis,starting from the teaching purpose,curriculum,method,teacher,student,feedback and environment discussed in the teaching theory,this article studied teaching scale,course,teachers of martial arts and overseas students' studies in Henan Polytechnic University,North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power,Henan Institute of Science and Technology,Nanyang Institute of Technology,Nanyang Normal University,and Fort Hays State University,in which the martial arts courses for overseas students are started.The article suggested that,1.For the international students,the teaching of martial arts did not arouse enough attention in the six colleges and universities in Henan province.And there are cases of perfunctory in their martial arts curriculum setting.The academic hours were consistent with the martial arts academic hours of general students,and four colleges and universities did not have a syllabus.2.In the six colleges and universities in Henan province,the content of martial arts teaching all set Tai Chi to the international students,and there are few courses about martial arts equipment and actual combat exercises.The teaching methods are not flexible enough,and the international students lack some interest in martial arts learning,and the evaluation method is relatively simple.3.Among the six colleges and universities in Henan province,most of them have specialized martial arts halls,and some use training stadiums,but Nanyang Normal University has an outdoor venue,so martial arts teaching is greatly affected by weather changes.Furthermore there are few auxiliary professional equipment for martial arts training such as mirrors and wall bars.4.The teacher of Zhengzhou Siasi College participating in martial arts teaching for international students is insufficient,and the teacher-student ratio is seriously inconsistent.The martial arts teachers of Nanyang Institute of Technology use Chinese language teaching,and thus the language skills of martial arts teachers need to be improved.5.In the six colleges and universities in Henan province,the international students are mainly from the Asian.They have a single way to learn about martial arts,most of students through film,television and other multimedia.They do not have a thorough understanding of the spirit of martial arts culture and have a superficial level of understanding.Moreover,international students are more casual in class,and there are phenomena of being late,asking for leave,and cutting class.Suggestions are as follows:1.The six colleges and universities in Henan province should attach great importance to the combination of martial arts courses for international students and the promotion of martial art culture,improve martial arts teaching system;according to international students' interests and hobbies,scientifically formulate teaching program,and set reasonable teaching objectives;fully consider the individual differences of international students from different countries and cultures,and ensure that they can achieve their learning objectives.2.In order to optimize the teaching content of martial arts for international students,teachers should try to choose the content full of culture;flexibly select and apply “student-oriented” teaching methods;optimize the evaluation of international students' martial arts learning from different perspectives,such as teachers',other students,and the student themself,so as to improve their enthusiasm.3.Basically,the training ground and facilities of the six colleges and universities in Henan province can meet the needs of martial arts teaching for international students.However,the relevant authority of colleges and universities should pay more attention to training ground and facilities.Specialized martial arts ground,carpets,equipment,mirrors,stall bars and others can greatly improve the effect of martial arts teaching.4.In the six colleges and universities in Henan province,the overall quality of martial arts teachers is relatively high.However,the professional training of martial arts teachers of international students should be improved further,not only to pay attention to martial art skills of teachers,but also to strengthen their training in martial arts theory,as well as the improvement of their own language ability.5.The international students of the six colleges and universities in Henan province should have a positive attitude toward martial arts,realize the purpose of their practice,pay attention to the standardized practice of martial arts,consider the practice of martial arts as self-defense,so as to cultivate good personal qualities to endure hardship and face new challenge.At the same time,colleges and universities should encourage foreign students to actively participate in the school martial arts community,choose their favorite martial arts projects to actively exercise,so as to meet the different needs of foreign students. |
