Martial arts, as the most national characteristics of the physical education content in school physical education occupies an important position. The face of the 21st century, educational reform and development, China's institutions of higher learning, martial arts teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching methods, performance evaluation criteria, and site equipment and so on to meet the needs of today's teaching needs of the times, is related to the reform and development of teaching martialarts has important theoretical value and practical significance.In order for martial arts teaching in colleges and universities continues to develop, the authors of the martial arts teaching in Universities of Henan Province conducted a survey of the status quo analysis, the martial arts teaching in colleges and universities in Henan have a comprehensive understanding of the status quo on the current martial arts teaching college in Henan Province objectives, content, assessment methods, in-depth analysis.In this study the use of literature, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics, and many other methods of the nine colleges and universities in Henan Province 100 teachers and 900 students in colleges and universities the status quo of teaching martial arts research, through the analysis of survey data and compiling, the following conclusions:1 In accordance with college personnel training objectives, to develop with local national characteristics of the Universities of Henan Province martial arts curriculum. China is a multi-ethnic country, a vast geographical features should be carried out according to their different national traditions of sport.2 The existing martial arts teaching content and social needs and the needs of students there is a certain gap between the existing national regulations mainly for teaching a number of martial arts routines. Teaching content a single, mostly professors ing national regulations should be based on martial arts movements regional, ethnic characteristics and student of martial arts foundation and the practical needs of the reform of teaching content.3 Three basic theoretical knowledge to enhance the teaching of martial arts. Formed a "heavy technology, light theory" phenomenon, the lack of martial arts, martial art and explain the meaning of attack and defense. Enable students to understand why a martial arts learning how to learn martial arts, so as to better promote the students develop a life-long physical activity habits. 4 The technical evaluation of students means a single, rate of progress can not be based on students master the moves of quality, comprehensive examination, assessment of student learning.5 Students more interested in martial arts classes, for teaching content are not satisfied, but the teaching of teachers is quite satisfactory.According to martial arts teaching in colleges and universities in Henan Province of the issue, the author made the following recommendations:1 According to a comprehensive quality education to carry out the relevant requirements and training objectives in the new period, combining martial arts with local college students to choose both the specific role played by the local martial arts, but also be loved by students in schools outside the martial arts, martial arts through the study area, promote students develop lifelong physical activity habits. Should also encourage teachers to martial arts under the geographical situation of on-demand, self-compiled with the local martial arts teaching materials, and the establishment of a multi-level teaching system.2 Martial arts teachers should provide more opportunities for education and academic exchanges in order to improve teachers of martial arts theory and technology. In particular, focus on existing non-professional teachers of martial arts training, so that as soon as possible to improve their own professional level, in order to better qualified martial arts teaching.3 Improve the teaching evaluation system to improve student's comprehensive evaluation.
