It is pointed out in National Outline for Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Program(2010-2020)that it is necessary to learn the advanced education philosophy and experience from other developing countries,in a bid to promote the international status and influence of China's education.As an education power,China's education is closely related to the international environment.In recent years,as many students begin to choose international courses,IBDP(International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme),which takes international feelings,lifelong learning and all-round development as the curriculum concept to enhance students' comprehensive development in the aspects of physical fitness,intelligence,emotion and social communication,has also attracted widespread attention from people.It is of reference significance for China's textbook reform and teacher teaching to study the IBDP and make a comparative analysis of IBDP and the textbooks currently used in China.In this thesis,the comparative analysis of textbooks published by Shandong Science and Technology Press and IBDP textbooks is carried out mainly from the following aspects.1.The questionnaire survey method is used to learn about the current situation of teachers' understanding of the senior high school chemistry textbooks published by Shandong Science and Technology Press and their views on IBDP.71.2% of the teachers think that the textbooks contain rich materials of chemical history;79.2% of the teachers think that the spiral compilation mode is reasonable,65.6% of the teachers think that the concept extraction of the textbooks is highly inclusive;74.4% of theteachers think that the figure-text ratio is appropriate;85.6% of the teachers think that the columns setting in these textbooks is rich and 52% of the teachers think that the relevance of the textbooks to knowledge in other fields needs to be further improved.The data show that the majority of teachers are generally satisfied with the compilation of the textbooks.95.2% of the teachers were not familiar with IBDP.As soon as the programme philosophy of IBDP is introduced to these teachers through questionnaires,72.0% of the teachers are willing to further learn about IBDP.2.It sorts out the origin of the International Baccalaureate curriculum,the curriculum concept,the curriculum setting,the relationship between the IBDP curriculum and the IB curriculum,as well as the overview of IBDP chemistry course.The textbook analysis model is constructed in this thesis from the perspectives of the curriculum standards of the two editions of textbooks,as well as the content selection,content compilation,and content presentation of Atomic Structure and Periodic Law of Elements.By virtue of the difficulty analysis model formula N =?(S/ T)+(1-?)G/ T,the difficulty of the two editions of the textbooks in the content of Atomic Structure and Periodic Law of Elements is quantitatively analyzed.3.The curriculum standards of the two editions of textbooks are compared from three aspects of curriculum objectives,overall framework of curriculum standards and curriculum content.It is found that focusing more on the cultivation of discipline ability,China's curriculum standard is designed systematically,aiming to realize the core accomplishment of chemistry discipline,accelerate students' all-round development and promote social progress.The reason why the contents of the curriculum standard are detailed into each chapter instead of each section is that the senior high school textbooks of various editions in our country must conform to the same outline,that is,one outline should be applicable to different textbooks of various editions and levels,which should be managed as a whole.The curriculumstandard of IBDP takes the scientific nature as the primary theme and pays more attention to cultivating students' international vision.The curriculum content standard is elaborated in detail from eight parts in the unit of subsection,which is in one to one correspondence with the curriculum standard,making it more fitting.The reason is that the curriculum standard of IBDP is a part of affiliated textbook chemistry guide,therefore,the details are corresponding to each other.4.The content selection is compared from the perspectives of knowledge selection and textbook difficulty.It is found that the content,Atomic Structure and Periodic Law of Elements,in the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press has a difficulty value of 0.7837,a comparable depth value of 0.1173,and a comparable breadth value of 1.45.While the same content in the IBDP textbook has a difficulty value of 0.9921,a comparable depth value of 0.1716,and a comparable breadth value of 1.9375.The higher requirements of knowledge level and less periods are the main reasons for the higher difficulty value of IB textbooks.Both of the two editions are rich in chemistry history materials.There are two introductions of historical characters in the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press,accounting for 12% of the contents of history of chemistry,as well as fifteen historical events.The textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press attaches more importance to the introduction of scientific achievements.There are twelve introductions of historical characters in the IBDP textbook,accounting for 43% of the contents of the history of chemistry,as well as sixteen historical events.IBDP edition also pays more attention to the opinions and thoughts of scientists and pays attention to the exploration of the essence of knowledge,which is inseparable from the development of knowledge theory and European philosophy.IBDP course originated in Europe,which is the birthplace of philosophy and permeates the idea of seeking the essence of knowledge in the course.5.According to the principles of textbook compilation put forward by David Pawl Ausubel,the content compilation of the two editions of textbooks is analyzed.It is found that the overall compilation of the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press is characterized by spiral,comprehensiveness and consistence,in addition,the content,Atomic Structure and Periodic Law of Elements embodies the idea of compiling the content of textbooks based on the advanced cognitive model.The compulsory chemistry course in the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press is applicable to all the senior one high school students.Senior two high school students can choose to learn the subjects suitable for themselves based on their own interests.The spiral compilation mode is more suitable for the students' learning situation.IBDP textbooks embody the principle of basic structure and the principle of continuous differentiation.In the very beginning,students are allowed to choose the edition they like(standard level or higher level),and the discipline structure is relatively clear.The content,Atomic Structure and Periodic Law of Elements,in IBDP textbook is characterized by prominent knowledge level.6.The content presentation of the two editions of textbooks is compared from the perspectives of figure system and column system.It is found that the number of figures in the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press is 53,with a figure-text ratio of 0.87,while the number of figures in IBDP chemistry textbook is 75,with a figure-text ratio of 1.4.It is concluded that IBDP textbook is better at presenting knowledge with figures.The number of production and life figures and material figures shown in the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press is higher than that of the IBDP textbook;the number of chemical history figures and spectrum charts is basically the same as that of the IBDP textbook and the number of the microscopic principle model figures,schematic figures,experimental figures and tables is less than that in IBDP textbook,indicating that the textbook published byShandong Science and Technology Press is closely related to production and life,while the IBDP textbook pays more attention to the presentation of atomic structure and theoretical knowledge.The combination of2 D figures and 3D figures in the textbook published Shandong Science and Technology Press enriches the figures and the figures in IBDP textbook are of larger size,therefore,both editions of textbooks have obvious color visual impacts.Taking the classroom activities as the main line,the column setting of the textbook published by Shandong Science and Technology Press attaches more importance to students' inquiry learning,while the column setting of IBDP textbook focuses more on interpretation the nature of science and features knowledge theory.
