With the promulgation of the "Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017)Edition",the implementation of students' core chemistry literacy has become a concern of education experts and front-line chemistry teachers.The overall teaching of units is of great significance in implementing the core literacy.Experts and scholars have paid attention to the use of unit teaching design to implement students' core literacy.Unit teaching can integrate scattered subject knowledge,promote the transformation of teachers' traditional teaching methods and students' learning methods,and develop students' chemistry subject literacy.The subject concept is highly abstract and general,and the unit teaching design under the guidance of the subject concept can help students establish a knowledge structure system and promote the transfer and application of knowledge.Therefore,this study attempts to take the “discipline concept”as the guiding principle.,to develop the basic process of unit teaching design.The research contents of this paper are as follows:First,literature review.Through the reading and sorting of domestic and foreign literature,we can understand the research status and theoretical basis of the big concept and unit teaching,and sort them out,and expound the significance of unit teaching based on the big concept of the subject.Second,the current situation survey.By compiling a questionnaire about the current situation of high school chemistry teachers' unit teaching,it is analyzed from the three dimensions of understanding,attitude,and value recognition..Third,process development.According to the above research,based on the "ADDIE" model,the unit teaching process development based on the subject concept is carried out.Fourth,case design.Taking the teaching unit of "Material Structure and Periodic Law of Elements" in high school chemistry as an example,the unit teaching design based on the big concept of the subject is carried out.Based on the research,the following conclusions are drawn: First,the basic model of unit teaching design based on the big concept of the subject is to select the teaching unit,extract the big concept of the unit;analyze the teaching elements,determine the teaching objectives of the unit;organize the teaching content,design and implement the teaching activities;implement Teaching evaluation,reflecting on the unit teaching process.Second,it expounds the hierarchical relationship of the major concepts,key concepts,basic concepts and basic knowledge of the disciplines;thirdly,the unit teaching activities based on the major concepts of the disciplines provide a path for the development of the core literacy of the students' chemistry discipline.
