The emergence and development of Chinese characters is an important part of civilization and it gradually adapts to the increasingly complex needs of interpersonal communication.Chinese characters are one of the oldest characters in the world.It has a history of more than 6000 years,and it is the only one handed down to the present in the major character systems of ancient era.Writing is one of the important Chinese practice activities for the middle grade students to reflect things,express thoughts and feelings,transfer knowledge and information and realize communication by using Chinese characters.Language research at domestic and abroad has proved the importance of construction grammar in language research and teaching.The advisability,operability and effectiveness of the "construction chunk" analysis and teaching method proposed by Lu Jianming and others have also been verified.The theory of construction grammar is not a single grammar theory.It covers a grammar theory model based on use,which can explain language examples and generalize language acquisition.This thesis focuses on the construction of sentence level,analyzes its form,meaning and function,and tries to apply sentence construction to the teaching of writing in the middle grade of primary school.This paper briefly reviews the development of the Construction Grammar theory at domestic and abroad and the previous research results on the teaching of writing,interprets the related connotation of the Construction Grammar theory,and explains the possibility and value of the Construction Grammar theory in the middle grade of primary school writing teaching.Through students' questionnaires and teachers' interviews,we find that the students in the middle grade of primary school are facing the following problems:Students'interest in writing is high but their confidence is insufficient;their ability of writing needs to be improved;and students do not pay enough attention to the revision of the logic and format of the sentences and contents of the compositions.This study attempts to apply sentence construction to the teaching of writing in the middle grade of primary school,and explores the teaching path of learning construction,activating schema,providing support,independent writing,modifying compositions,and conducts a three-month action research.Through the analysis of students' compositions in the composition growth record bag,it is found that the composition teaching under the guidance of Construction Grammar can expand students' composition length,increase sentence accuracy and punctuation accuracy.The results of two questionnaires before and after the experimental class show that students' interest in exercises has also been improved,and they have a high degree of satisfaction with the teaching of writing in the middle grade of primary school based on Construction Grammar.
