The purpose of the current study is to examine the influence of recipients on allocation behavior of children aged 4-6 years in cooperative and competitive situations and explore the moderating effect of inhibition control in the influence of recipients on allocation behavior of children aged 4-6 years. In this study,223 children aged 4-6 years were selected from H kindergarten and C kindergarten in Changsha city by simple random sampling, among which 111 were 4-5 years old and 112 were 5-6 years old.By creating cooperative situation and competitive situation, this study investigates the allocation behaviors characteristics of children aged 4-6 based on different recipients in different situations and the effect of inhibition control on allocation behavior. The first study explores the allocation behaviors characteristics of children aged 4-6 based on different recipients by creating the cooperative situations and explores the effect of inhibition control on children's allocation behaviors. The second study explores the allocation behaviors characteristics of children aged 4-6 based on different recipients by creating the competitive situation and explores the effect of inhibition control on children's allocation behaviors. The results show:(1)In the cooperative situation, the average distribution of items among children aged 5-6 is significantly higher than that among children aged 4-5.Children aged 4-6 are equally assigned to friend, significantly more than to strangers.Compared to children aged 4-5,children aged 5-6 are more likely to be influenced by recipients.(2)In the competitive situation, there is no significant difference between the number of items evenly distributed by children aged 5-6 and children aged 4-5.The average number of items given to friend is significantly higher than that given to strangers by children aged 4-6.(3)In the competitive situation, inhibition control plays a regulating role in the influence of recipients on allocation behavior of children aged 4-6 years.Children in the high-inhibition control group are significantly more likely to assign items to friend than to stranger. The allocation behavior of children in the low-inhibition control group was not significantly affected by recipients.(4)Compared with the competition situation, children distribute more items in the cooperative situation.Based on the above research conclusions, educators should permeate the sharing education in daily life, create the rich cooperation situation, improve the children's consciousness of cooperation and use appropriate form to guide children to understand competition correctly.Besides, educators should exert the positive influence on friendship and enable children to establish good peer relationships. Finally,in order to promote the development of children's prosocial behavior,it is necessary to improve children's inhibition control ability.
