Experiment plays an important role in physics teaching.However,most of the current physics teaching doesn't pay attention to experiments,only a rough demonstration or a simple explanation of teaching material experiments,which are all "talking on paper".The reasons include teaching and experiment itself.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to improve or innovate the physical experiment.Based on the deep understanding of the essential problems and teaching problems in the experiment of teaching materials,this paper makes some improvements on the optical experiment in the first volume of the eighth grade of junior middle school physics in the people's Education Edition,such as the experimental equipment and demonstration methods.It is expected that these improved results can help teaching and learning,and provide some reference for the new round of curriculum reform.First of all,through consulting a large number of literature,the author deeply analyzes the problems existing in the current experimental teaching in China,determines the content of the research and the methods needed,and through the online questionnaire survey,understands some problems and difficulties existing in the actual optical experimental teaching of junior middle school physics teachers,which provides the source for the improvement of the experiment.Secondly,based on the existing theoretical basis,this paper expounds the position and role of experiment in physics teaching,and puts forward six basic principles for the improvement and innovation of physics experiment in junior high school: scientific principle,purposeful principle,necessity principle,intuitive principle,interesting principle and safety principle.The basic ways of experiment improvement and innovation are put forward: to improve the credibility of experiment,to enhance the visibility of experiment,to improve the accuracy of experiment and to reduce the difficulty of experiment.Then,under the guidance of the theory,the optical experiment of the textbook of human education edition is improved and innovated.The depth analysis and improvement of the four experiments,convex lens imaging experiment,plane mirror imaging experiment,light reflection experiment and small hole imaging experiment,are carried out respectively,and three innovative experiments are further proposed,which are suggested to be carried out in teaching.The application of the improved and innovative experiments is tested,and the following conclusions are summarized:(1)The improvement and innovation of experiments need theoretical support and combination with practice;(2)the original experiments in teaching materials must be analyzed in depth in all aspects and treated dialectically;(3)problems should be clarified and meaningful improvements should be made in combination with scientific methods;(4)the improvement and innovation should ensure the visualization,accuracy optimization and simple operation.
