Physics is a science course based on experiments.Specific experimental phenomena make it easier for experimenters to understand physics laws,theorems,concepts and formulas.Therefore,physics experiment plays an important role in classroom teaching.However,in fact,we often face many problems such as obsolete experimental instruments,unclear experimental phenomena and difficulties in data analysis.In this case,some educators introduce the sensor technology into the physics experiment teaching.The sensor technology brings great convenience to the physics experiment teaching due to its accurate and fast measurement data.However,the sensor-related experimental equipment is expensive and few in number,which cannot fully meet the large demand of students.With the rapid development of smart phones,they are integrated with a large number of sensors.Taking advantage of its various sensors with strong performance,high precision,fast response,and the ability to analyze and collect all kinds of relevant physical data,it brings great convenience for us to use mobile phone sensors for physics teaching.In this paper,application research status of mobile phone sensors in physics teaching is briefly introduced.Then functional characteristics and working principles of several typical sensors in mobile phones are analyzed.These sensors include acceleration sensors,gravity sensors,light sensors,pressure sensors,magnetic sensors,temperature sensors,and gyroscope sensors.Then,this paper combined high school physics knowledge,explored and designed 12 physics experiments based on mobile phone sensors,involving mechanics,optics,electromagnetism and thermophysics.Finally,a classroom teaching case of physics experiment using mobile phone sensors is exhibited as an example.In addition,aquestionnaire was designed in the form of choice and essay questions to test the experimental class and the control class,and the mastery of physical concepts of the two classes was compared and analyzed,so as to obtain the feasibility and high efficiency of classroom demonstration experiments using mobile phone sensors.According to the comparisonal results,by using mobile phone sensors in classroom experiments,the degree of mastering physical laws of this class has been increased,which proves the effects and feasibility of applying mobile phone sensors in physics demonstration experiments.This paper provides some valuable references and experimental cases for the application of mobile phone sensors in high school physics teaching.
