Although stereometry studies the relationships among spatial point, line as well as surface further and is more abstract compared with plane geometry, the former is based on the latter. However, students often have difficulty in solving stereometry problems and there are also some teaching problems worth being investigated for teachers. Therefore, this paper aims at finding senior high school students' stereometry learning barriers by conducting survey and analyzing data, which involves senior 2016 science students from Anyue Middle School,Sichuan Province as research objects. The main three-dimensional geometry learning disabilities of senior high school students can be described as follows:Knowledge aspects:1.Basic concepts and theorems are neither accurately memorized nor fully understood.2.Knowledge points are learned by rote and cannot be used flexibly.3.Negative transfer effects from former plane geometry knowledge.Ability aspects:1.Lack of space imagination ability.2.Language understanding deficiency.3.Lack of logical reasoning ability.4.The ability to flexible apply theorem to solve problems is weak.Strategies aspects:1.There is no systematic thinking or thorough method for solving problems.2.There are systematic thinking and thorough method for solving problems, but the calculation is too complicated to be correct.Emotion aspects:1.Fear of solid geometry.2.Weak willpower.Through the analysis of high school students' learning obstacles of solid geometry, thefollowing countermeasures are proposed:Countermeasures to overcome the knowledge barrier:1.For teacher: pay attention to the basic theorem teaching methods which are supposed to be various.Try to weaken the negative transfer effects of plane geometry.2.For students: improve the accuracy of basic knowledge storage.Make clear the similarities and differences between solid geometry and plane geometry.Countermeasures to overcome the ability obstacle:1.For teacher: Be good at using models and pay attention to the cultivation of spatial imagination ability.Pay attention to the transformation of characters, symbols and figures, and improve the students ability of drawing and recognizing maps.Strengthen the cultivation of logical thinking.2.For students:Use objects or models, observe and imagine more.Improve the perception of graphics.Countermeasures to overcome the problem-solving strategies:1.For teacher:Pay attention to the students' training problem-solving abilities.Arrange the teaching sequence of solid geometry and space vector reasonably.2.For students: Strengthen reflection on problem-solving.Countermeasures to overcome emotional barriers:1.For teacher: Create situations to stimulate students' interest in learning.Adopt stratified teaching method to build students' confidence in learning.2.For students: pay attention to the psychological state, stimulate thirst for knowledge. Finally,a teaching case of "the judgment theorem of the parallelism between straight line and plane" was carried out in class 4 of grade 2016.The results of case verify that the proposed countermeasures are effective and operable.
