As is well known,analytic geometry is the keynote of high school mathematics learning and is also a difficulty.From the past years’ national college entrance examination,We can see that analytic geometry is the necessary content.It has a big proportion. Although most students devote to analytic geometry before the national college entrance examination,the rate of scoring in this part of knowledge is still very low.It fully shows that students meet a lot of obstacles in the process of learning analytic geometry.In this paper the research objects are students from Wuhan Ma Fang Shan high school.In the research process,teaching materials are the ordinary high school Curriculum standard experiment textbook.The compulsory 2,elective 1-1 and 2-1 are published by People’s Education Press.In this paper the research contents include straight line with equation,circle with equation,curve with equation and conic section with equation.Wuhan began to implement the new curriculum reform in 2012。It has been already carried out for a boutUnder the new curriculum reform idea,it calls for inspiring Students’ autonomous learning, cultivates students’ cooperative learning, Improves students’ inquiry learning.Finally,the beneficiary are students.Under the trend of new curriculum reform,In order to improve the high school basic mathematics education further and improve the students’ mathematical learning ability,so what kind of learning difficulties will high school students be confronted with while they study analytic geometry?How should teachers effectively help students solve the obstacles faced in the analytic geometry?The author in the article mainly research on these two issues.Its significance is to find and sum up students’ learning obstacles in the process of analytic geometry.That can help students improve their own learning cognitive by understanding these problems.Then they should avoid these learning obstacles in the future study.They should make effective learning methods to improve the ability of autonomous learning.For students’learning obstacles.teachers can also summarize their teaching strategies. To explore good ways that are suitable and acceptable for students’ development and promote them to learn analytic geometry better.The author keep in touch with the objects for a long period of time.She found that students have so many difficulties when they study analytic geometry.What kind of learning obstacles caused the students unable to understand the knowledge about analytic geometry on earth?The author designed questionnaire and analytic geometry test and combine with the teachers’interviews to realize students’ learning obstacles of analytic geometry.The total investigated students in this high school are 129.There are nine multiple-choice and an open question in this questionnaire. A total of ten questions,each of the questions has no right or wrong. Students take anonymous answers sincerely. The data of every question’s answer will be analyzed.According to the results of the data,conclusion will be made.The learning obstacles while students study analytic geometry are mainly:(1)The incomprehension of knowledge;(2)The idea is not clear;(3)The operation ability is weak;(4)The fear in the mind.In the future teaching,the amount of class time in analytic geometry should be increased.And the number with form ought to be strengthened.Dynamic geometry teaching will come true though the use of modern information techno logy. The process of solving questions must be standardized when writing on the blackboard.To constantly improve teaching strategies can also help students enhance their efficiency in learning analytic geometry.
