Under the background of the rapid development of higher education and the internationalization of higher education in our country,the demand of college student's development is constantly developing in the direction of personalization,diversification and complexity,and the management of college student affairs is also facing many different new situations and problems.The professional development of student affairs could not meet the needs of the popularization stage of higher education in our country,among which the insufficient specialization of the student affairs management team is one of the important reasons leading to the slow development of the professionalization of student affairs.the professional student affairs personnel,from the point of view of the process,need to experience the training,selection and training of specialization,etc.In terms of training,the most important thing is the development and construction of the series of courses.The main responsibility of cultivating specialized college student affairs personnel with a series of courses falls on Higher Education subject,and the development of the corresponding curriculum is not only to meet the realistic needs of the specialized of student affair management in univeristies,but also to make up for the lack of application of the master's course of Higher Education subject in our country,even more,to show the applied characteristics of the Higher Education subject discipline.“Stones from other hills may serve to polish the jade of this one--advice from others may help one overcome one's shortcomings”,the United States university student affairs master's program in the past ten years,has made a very considerable achievement,and has provided a large number of high-quality professionals in the field of higher education in the United States.Its program not only helps students to achieve a very high sense of learning achievement and employment prospects in realizing their own learning expectations,and also realize the professional development of the program itself,which has strong representative and research value for my study.Eight different Student Affair programs from different colleges and universities in the United has been selected in this study.Our analysis is guided by the basic theory of Taylor's curriculum,we analyzed the curriculum objectives,curriculum structure and curriculum content of the graduate student affairs programs in various universities by means of text analysis,comparative research and participatory observation.Finally,we took the professors who are responsible for managing and teaching in the program as the subject of the survey,and conducted in-depth interviews on the theme of the curriculum setting concept and influencing factors of the master's degree program in student affairs.Through the compilation and analysis of the research data,this paper summarizes the curriculum characteristics and curriculum concept of the Master's Student Affairs Program in the United States,and puts forward the reference countermeasures for the professional curriculum of the Master's Student Affairs Program in our country by reference American student affairs master's program of professional curriculum of the five aspects.First,the author expounds the history and related theory development of the student affairs graduate program in the United States,and then sets the curriculum of eight graduate student affairs program institutions in the United States as samples,takes the basic principles of Taylor's course as the theoretical guidance to summarize the characteristics of curriculum,and the curriculum concepts.First to complie the curriculum objectives,the course settings,the curriculum structure of the program from different schools by using text analysis method.Second,to interview program directors and professors through telephone and mail.Organized and analyzed interview materials,text materials obtained during the year of participating in program studies,and the official curriculum settings of eight institutions,the study found that the Student Affairs master program in American universities,in term of curriculum objectives,different levels,different types of talents and specific specific curriculum objectives are formulated.For the curriculum content,it focuses on the study of the basic and theoretical knowledge of student affairs,has a variety of elective courses and attaches importance to the norms and training of student affairs research methods.In term of curriculum structure system,it emphasis on the practical orientation of talent training,the cultivation of student affairs skills and the characteristics of "opening-up" interdisciplinary.The concept of curriculum setting is mainly about the development of students,the diversity of college students,social equity and practicality.Finally,the author puts forward some reference suggestions on the curriculum objectives,curriculum content and curriculum structure system.First of all,the orientation of the objective of the student affairs curriculum should be clarify.In term of course content,the theoretical system of student affairs knowledge and a systematic,professional supervised and practice training system in our country should be conducted and formed as soon as possible.Last but not the least,in order to build the student affairs curriculum system,the integrity of the curriculum system should be viewed as a core in the curriculum system,highlight the training of student affairs skills and ablities,and attach importance to the proportion of interdisciplinary curriculum,and make the standard student affairs research method course and establish a flexible elective course system.
