In 2017,the "Science Curriculum Standards for Primary Schools in Compulsory Education" promulgated by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China marked a new stage in strengthening the cultivation of “the view of nature of science” in primary school science education in China.The view of nature of science is one of the core connotations of scientific literacy,and it is also an important part of science education.The attention to students' views of nature of science,paid by international science educational circle,has gained an increasing popularity.Many science education documents at home and abroad have shown the importance of cultivating the view of nature of science in primary school.The cultivation of primary school students' view of nature of science,according with the developmental trend of international science education research,is the inherent requirement of perfecting primary school education of the nature of science,and an important basis for the implementation of students' scientific literacy development.There are three main research questions in this research: 1.What is the current situation of the developmental level of primary school students' view of nature of science? 2.What are the main reasons that have affected the development of primary school students' view of nature of science? 3.What effective measures can promote the cultivation of primary school students' view of nature of science? Therefore,this research takes the "view of nature of science" as the research breakthrough point,the primary school student as the main research object,and the constructivism science view,the structuralism education view,the science nature practice view as the theoretical foundation.Based on the theoretical analysis,the view of nature of science can be divided into three dimensions: the view of nature of science knowledge,the view of nature of science method and the view of nature of science enterprise.This research adopts the method of case study to carry on the in-depth research on a "Science and Technology Education Innovation School" Z in Chongqing.The relevant research data had been collected over 2 months through the questionnaire research to students randomly sampled from 6 grades,the in-depth interview of three science teachers,and the classroom observation of 3 science classes.Then SPSS statistical technology software was used to clarify the reliability and validity of the research.This research found that there are differences in the development of views of nature of science among primary school students in different grades.In the view of science knowledge,the development of students in Grade 1-4 is relatively lagging behind,especially in the understanding of "subjectivity" and "openness".In the view of nature of science method,the development students in Grade 1-4 is relatively lagging behind,especially the understanding of "evidence","predictability" and "relativity",and the understanding of "predictability" in Grade 5-6 is also relatively lagging behind.In the view of nature of science enterprise,the overall level of development is low.Through classroom observation,this research found that in the cultivation of students' view of the nature of science in primary school,both the view of science knowledge and science method are at the general level,especially in cultivation of understanding of "accumulation","openness","limitation","relativity" and "predictability".The view of nature of science enterprise is more serious.There are different problems in the four elements of it so the situation is not optimistic.The current situation can be attributed to three main reasons.The first is various learning motivations,family backgrounds and learning modes of primary school students.The second is teachers' varying literacy concepts,the levels of science nature,and the teaching methods.The third is the management of schools,learning resources and environment and so on.Through the above analysis,this research clearly puts forward the cultivation strategies of primary school students' view of nature of science.From students' angle,we should strengthen the lasting learning motivation of students' science nature,develop the positive guiding role of family education culture,and explore the efficient and diverse learning methods suitable for students.From teachers' angle,we should strengthen the concept of science teachers' view of nature of science,improve the level of science teachers' view of science nature,and improve the traditional primary school science teaching mode.From the school's angle,we should establish the school management mechanism for the cultivation of the view of nature of science,provide the school learning resources for the cultivation of it,and create the school learning environment for the cultivation of the view of nature of science.
