Research On Correcting Juvenile Online Addiction Under Strength Perspective

With the development and reform of our society,technology is widely used in our lives.Meanwhile,the popularization of computer and smart phone trending towards younger ages brings us a new problem — Internet Addiction Disorder.The examples of teenagers who addict to the Internet is commonly seen.More and more teenagers are restricted by online video games,leading to some serious problems,which are negative school performance,family conflict or even juvenile delinquency.In order to help teenagers establish correct vision on Internet and promote the healthy growth of the juvenile,the research is based on strength perspective,focusing on the clients' advantaged resources and leading them to overcome difficulties by using advantaged resources.At the same time,we use Social Case Work as our working method,trying our best to help clients' establish healthy and positive online behavior,and also,protecting our clients' privacy as well.Related information and analysis is needed before accepting the case.After that,I divide my research into 5 steps,among which I use interview method,observation method and so on,participating in their daily lives,just in order to substantially and truly understand the client.After establishing initial relationship,15 interviews are held afterwards.Besides I arrange a series of activities including family and community activities,using the power of family and community to help overcome Internet addiction and use the Internet in a healthy way.With the effort from all-around,the client will finally overcome Internet addiction,gradually establishing great and health online habits.Family relation will get better and better.By means of correcting and establishing the right notion,this case work will provide a scientific reference for online addiction adolescents to solve problems.
