Study On Fine Arts Teaching In Zhejiang Province In Early 20th Century

In the late Qing Dynasty,the art teaching in Zhejiang province,prior to the promulgation of the "Guimao school system ",the course and the name of the art class in Zhejiang Middle School was different.Later,with the curriculum of various new schools in Zhejiang Province becoming more and more unified,schools do follow the rules to set up art courses.At the end of the Qing Dynasty,middle schools in Zhejiang Province had generally offered drawing-hand courses,among them,hand-made teaching takes daily necessities as the main content,however,in this period,the art class teaching in the middle schools of Zhejiang Province is in its infancy,emphasizing primarily the teaching of techniques and the development of technical skills,teaching methods are also rigid.Before the War of Resistance Against Japan broke out in 1937,fine Arts Teaching in Zhejiang Province Follows Education Regulations promulgated by the Ministry of Education of the National Government,the contents and teaching methods of art courses have been reformed,in the teaching content,teaching methods and middle school art exhibition,competition and other aspects,opened up a new situation of art class education and teaching.In the early 20 th century,the middle schools of Zhejiang Province not only offered pictures lessons,but also had various teaching contents and methods;manual courses pay attention to practicality,teaching content to embroidery,sewing,clay,bamboo,metalworking,etc,especially industry and commerce,the purpose is to enable students to master some basic skills,cultivate students' interest in labor,and prepare for future occupation.After the Opium War,with the "west learning east gradually ",foreign pictures and textbooks are constantly translated to the domestic,these art textbooks not only give students access to Western art,but also promote the use of teaching materials in high school art courses in Zhejiang Province,at the same time,it fully embodies the ideas and methods of art education and teaching at that time.In the early 20 th century,Zhejiang art students played an important role in art teaching in middle schools,in the 1920 s and 1930 s,the majors of Zhejiang art students were diverse,after returning to China,they mainly set up art schools in Zhejiang Province and carried out art education and teaching in schools such as middle schools,among which Jiang Dan shu,Li Shu tong,Wu Meng fei and Feng Zi kai made great contributions to the teaching of art classes in middle schools in Zhejiang Province.
