Mathematical problem solving,as a series of thinking operations for students to solve mathematical problems, plays a decisive role in the development of students ability. The research on mathematical problem solving has always been the focus in the field of psychology and mathematics education at home and abroad. Therefore,it is particularly important to study the influencing factors of solving mathematical problems.In-depth exploration of the influencing factors will help students improve their abilities. However, past studies on the factors of mathematical problem solving task focused on algebra, and mathematical problems involved in the type is limited,in order to use different types of math problems to verify and supplement, this research from the Angle of the geometric task, circumference more tasks, for example, the influence factors of subjects to complete perimeter more mission,to improve the effect of the elementary school mathematics teaching to provide multiple perspectives and comprehensive theoretical basis and empirical supportAs far as geometric problems are concerned, working memory capacity has attracted much attention in the research on influencing factors of solving geometric problems. The larger the capacity of an individual's working memory, the more information can be temporarily stored for processing operations, thus successfully solving geometric problems. In addition, the solution of geometric problems is closely related to the key factor of reference to the expected representation. In the process of solving geometric problems, individuals usually need to foresee new graphs based on the existing result graphs in their mind. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of working memory capacity and anticipatory referential representation on the perimeter comparison task of primary school students. To be specific, this study adopts the laboratory experiment method and consists of two series of studies,a total of two experimentsFirst of all, study 1 selected fourth-grade students as subjects to explore the status quo of solving the two types of perimeter comparison tasks of inconsistent equality and inconsistent opposition, and to verify the differences in the accuracy and response time of the two types of perimeter comparison tasks.Study a found that senior students in two classes of perimeter comparison task accuracy and reaction time have significant difference, complete inconsistent opposite types do not match the accuracy is significantly higher than complete title equal type topic, however,do not consistent in significantly shorter than the complete opposite reaction type subject inconsistent equal type subjectBased on the results of study 1,study 2 further investigated the influence of working memory capacity and consult anticipatory image on solving the task of perimeter comparison of primary school students, and on this basis explained the reasons for the differences in the completion of two types of perimeter comparison tasks of primary school students.Specifically, study 2 adopted the same perimeter comparison task as study 1,combined with the visuospatial-sketchpad task of working memory and the consult anticipatory image task,to verify the impact of working memory capacity and consult anticipatory image on the perimeter comparison task of fourth-grade students. The results showed that:(1)There was a significant difference in the accuracy of pupils in completing the perimeter comparison task of inconsistent equal type and inconsistent opposite type, and the accuracy of completing inconsistent opposite type was significantly higher than that of completing inconsistent equal type(2)There was a significant difference in the accuracy of completing the perimeter comparison task between the high-ability group with reference to the expected representation and the low-ability group with consult anticipatory image. The accuracy of completing the perimeter comparison task in the high-ability group with consult anticipatory image was significantly higher than that in the low-ability group with reference to the expected representation. When the subjects were faced with different and equal types of perimeter comparison tasks, the accuracy of completing tasks in the high-ability group with consult anticipatory image was significantly higher than that in the low-ability group with reference to the expected representation When the subjects were faced with inconsistent and opposite types of perimeter comparison tasks, there was no significant difference between the accuracy of completing tasks in the high-ability group with consult anticipatory image and the low-ability group with consult anticipatory image.(3)There was no significant difference between the high working memory capacity group and the low working memory capacity group in the accuracy and response time of completing the perimeter comparison task.
