| Calculation is an important part of mathematics teaching in primary school,of which fraction calculation is an indispensable part of the whole operation series of mathematics.Unlike integer arithmetic,fraction arithmetic is more variable and difficult,which contributes to a very high error rate in this process.Based on literature research on calculation level and fraction arithmetic,this thesis investigates and studies the facts of students' fraction calculation level in grade 5 and 6 in the school where the author works.The research includes the following two points: First,using solo theory to develop test tools and analyze fraction calculation level of high-grade in primary school;Second,using qualitative research method to analyze the problems existing in fraction calculation and their attribution.Accordingly,this thesis can be expected to get strategies to improve students' fraction calculation level.This thesis draws the following conclusions through literature research and questionnaire survey.First,95.67% of the students reach the unistructural level in fraction calculation.Secondly,about 84.04% of the students can reach the multistructural level.Thirdly,65.36% of the students meet the relational level,which is reduced comparatively.Fourthly,only 4.90% of the students make it to an extended abstract level.It can be seen that most of the students are weak in the latter two aspects.In other words,most of the students can not reach the relational level because of their superficial understanding of calculating principle and inadequacy of analytic integrative ability,and the lack of innovative consciousness leads to their incapacity of abstract generalization.According to the findings of the survey,the following suggestions are put forward.Firstly,to strengthen the understanding of calculating principle and the training of its flexible application;to strengthen the training of analytic integrative ability;to strengthen the training of thinking strategies and methods. |
