2018-2019 Season Research On Nba Players' Contract Term And Salary

This study analyzes the salary and contract period of NBA players' contract,and puts forward suggestions on the salary and contract period of NBA players and teams.Over the years,the reform of China's professional basketball league has been continuously promoted,but on the contrary,China's national Men's basketball team has been out early in various world competitions,and its performance is increasingly low.Starting from the lack of salary system in China's Professional Basketball League and the problem of randomness in the contract period of players in China's professional league,such as the National Basketball Association(NBA),which has the highest level of professionalization,the most centralized game copyright and the most frequent player transactions in the world.By collecting all NBA players' contracts and players' playing data,this paper analyzes the current situation of NBA players' annual salary and contract term,and tests the correlation coefficient between the salary and contract term in player contracts and their internal factors,such as competitive ability,age and position on the field.By using SPSS software and excel statistical analysis,the research shows that the salary distribution of NBA players presents a flat pyramid Among them,there are more middle and low paid players,less high paid players,no obvious difference in position,and the age distribution has the characteristics of stages;NBA players' contract period presents a partial normal distribution,and there are differences in position signing period,and the signing period fluctuates with the growth of age,without obvious rules.The correlation coefficient between NBA players' salary and their competitive ability is the highest,followed by age,but there is no linear relationship between position and annual salary;the correlation coefficient between contract term and players' competitive ability is the highest,followed by position,but there is no linear relationship between age and contract term;the relationship between contract term and their annual salary is positive linear.The conclusion is that the professional league should establish a perfect salary and contract period management system,and disclose the details of player contract and teamcontract.Based on the research results,players should pay attention to the consistency of salary and contract term with their internal structure,and plan their career in stages.When choosing players,the team should pay attention to the unity of salary,contract period and players' internal factors,and reasonably use the salary system to set up the team.
