Research On The Application Of Dance Creation Elements In The Choreography Of Pom Dance Cheerleading

Cheerleading is a sport rising from American campus.Because of its high ornamental action and wide age coverage,it has a rapid development trend after entering China.As of November 2019,there are 98000 referees and coaches registered in China,but only a few teams have the ability and opportunity to exchange and study internationally.In the arrangement of cheerleading,there is a lack of understanding of the whole set of movements,a lack of understanding of the creation of dance,a single structure of dance movements in the whole set,a lack of theme,as well as a lack of corresponding awareness of dance style and technical training.In general,the innovation of the whole arrangement of Cheerleading in China is not high.Dance expresses emotion by body movement language.Its theme is rich and strong.Through the ingenious combination of time and space,the dance moves are sequenced and reorganized,and the unique feelings of the dance works are displayed through the secondary creation.Thus,the main purpose of this study is to apply the elements of choreography to the pom dance cheerleading project to make it more individual and distinctive.According to the 2017-2020 cheerleading rules of the international cheerleading League of ICU(hereinafter referred to as the 2017 rules),this paper analyzes the arrangement of the collective flower ball project of the 2019 world pom cheerleading championships by using the methods of literature,questionnaire,expert interview,video analysis,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,and makes a questionnaire survey and interview on the domestic dance and cheerleading experts This paper defines the elements of dance creation and looks for the specific application form and characteristics in the arrangement of pom Cheerleading,revealed the existing problems and putted forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.The results of this study are as follows:1.The commonality in the creation of thinking and process,the expression of creation provides a basis for the integration of dance and pom dance cheerleading,following the rules while drawing lessons from dance choreography materials,the use of venue expressions,and the absorption of dance techniques to highlight the complete set artistic effect and theme style of action.2.There are many elements of dance composition.The composition elements suitable for the arrangement of pom dance cheerleading are established through expert questionnaires and interviews,which include music,movement,time and space.3.In the arrangement of music elements,6-9 kinds of main music structures are used with heavy metal,rock and pop music,and street dance and jazz music as the supplement.The length of the music is around 1:57 minutes,and there are 1-2 sections of distinctivemusic.In the arrangement of action elements,the main dance movements are mostly street dance and jazz styles.There is a common trend in the use of dance skills and movements,and the combination of 36 hand positions is mainly used in twist-type difficulty movements.In the arrangement of time elements,the average beat rate is 0.4 seconds per beat,and the average track conversion is 16.8s.The shorter the track conversion time,the faster the beat rate,and the stronger the expression of flower ball skill.The combination of long and short time values is more prone to new arrangements,and the teams that use the sound effects at the beginning are more attractive to the audience.In terms of space elements,the overall trend of vertical space use is: A + B> B + C> A + B + C> A + C.The lateral space flow formation(18.2)uses more than the fixed formation(12.3).The stage orientation mostly uses 1,2,3,7,8 o'clock,combined with the dance visual area rules,1,2,8 o'clock and the middle and front field are the visual focus areas.4.Although the application of dance composition elements in the arrangement of flower pom dance cheerleading has a certain effect,there are still some drawbacks,such as inadequate coaches' knowledge of dance composition,insufficient material mining,insufficient basic dance ability of athletes,inaccurate application form and degree,less use of the integration and application of dance composition elements.5.The application of dance composition elements highlights the thematic style of set movements,enriches the diversification of set movements,enhances the visual and auditory art of set movements,and improves the individual training level and enthusiasm.6.Optimized countermeasures for the application of dance composition elements:improving the meaning and originality of the theme and music,increasing the participation of athletes in motion,enriching the expression of time and space,attaching importance to the training of coaches,and improving the athletes performance through actual training and simulation competition to enhance player/s comprehensive level.
