Juedi is an activity in which the ancient people competed with each other in production and life.After cultural integration and historical evolution,it has developed into the wrestling sport in today's traditional national sports.It is of great significance for writing the history of martial arts and inheriting the traditional Chinese culture to deeply study the historical appearance and development of Juedi.Through literature research,the Juedi to the historical development of roughly divided into the following stages: mainly unarmed combat the booming period of the pre-Qin;During Qin and Han Dynasty,Juedi is in a period of diversified development;in the course of Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,it is a relatively narrow development period;until the Tang Dynasty,it entered the period of specialized development;and it laid the foundation for the improvement of the Juedi of the Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties.Among them,the Tang Dynasty is the prosperous stage of the development of Juedi.The development of Juedi in this period has the characteristics of model and continuity,which is the key period to link the past and the future.In the Tang Dynasty,Juedi mainly developed in the court,the army and the civilian population.Meanwhile,in its foreign exchanges,it mainly engaged in exchanges and development with Japan.Based on the historical background of the development of Juedi in Tang Dynasty,this paper studies its development status and characteristics at home and abroad,as well as its historical value and enlightenment to modern wrestling.It is concluded that the historical background of The Tang Dynasty is conducive to the development of the Juedi.Specifically,it includes the following aspects: politically,the unification and stability of the Tang Dynasty and juedi were favored by the rulers,which provided guarantee for the development of Juedi;economically,the prosperous feudal economy laid a solid material foundation for the popularization of Juedi;in terms of military and political affairs,the development of government and military system and martial arts system stimulated the people's enthusiasm martial arts and promoted the popularization of Juedi in the army.In the society,prevailing martial culture,loose foreign policy and cultural atmosphere provided a good environment for juedi to flourish.In the above historical background,the Tang Dynasty Juedi was widely developed in all levels of the country,it's mainly in the following aspects: in the court as fun to the ruling class and banquet ceremony to add entertainment programs;in the army,it is an important means to select excellent soldiers,report the training effect and improve the combat ability of the army;in the folk as a popular entertainment,fitness activities.At the same time,during the Tang Dynasty,when foreign exchanges were flourishing,Juedi also went abroad.By studying Japanese sumo in Tang Dynasty and comparing the regulations of the domestic and foreign wrestlers in the organization,costume and venue,as well as its development in court and folk,it is found that the exchange between Chinese wrestlers and Japanese was relatively more frequent in Tang Dynasty.According to the development of Juedi in the Tang Dynasty,its development features were mainly manifested in the top-down implementation of the ruling class,the needs of military operations in the army and the mass entertainment activities carried out by the people.According to the research,the historical value of the development of Juedi in Tang Dynasty mainly includes three aspects: first,the political value mainly manifests the strength of Tang Dynasty and promotes Japanese recognition of Tang culture;second,the military value is mainly reflected in improving the combat effectiveness of the Tang Army and providing soldiers with a new promotion channel;third,the social value is mainly manifested as enhancing the physique of the general public and facilitating the individual socialization development of the public.The contemporary value of Juedi in Tang Dynasty is reflected in its enlightenment to the development of modern wrestling;second,recover Juedi's original simplicity,guide people to know the original appearance;third,we should pay attention to innovation and expand the modern living space.In general,the political,economic,military and political factors and social environment of the Tang Dynasty worked together to promote the development of Juedi.The development of Tang Dynasty Juedi is mainly concentrated in the court,the army and the folk three social fields,its development reason,the organization and the main body are different,but the situation that each class loves the Juedi player that the domestic various classes are in a relatively unified cognitive state in the Juedi.By comparing the sumo and Juedi of the Tang Dynasty,we can see the influence of Tang Dynasty Juedi on Japan and the absorption and adoption of Tang culture.
