This study focuses on investigating the current situation of high school students' science career aspirations,and scientifically analyzes the influence path of science capital on science career aspirations,which has important strategic value for the country to vigorously promote the science literacy of the whole people and the education and training of scientific and technological talents required by social development.In this study,the theoretical connotation and measurement method of science capital and science career aspirations are discussed through a lot of literature and other contents.Based on the relevant measurement tools developed in this study,the status quo research on science career aspirations and the impact model of science capital on science career aspirations were carried out,and the following main research conclusions were finally obtained:(1)The measurement tools of science capital are compiled and tested.Finally,science capital is divided into three dimensions: scientific related behavior practice,scientific related social capital and scientific related cultural capital.(2)There are significant differences in the variables of gender,family economic and cultural background and academic level.Men's science career aspirations are higher than women's;the better their family economic and cultural background is,the higher their academic performance is,the stronger their science career aspirations are,and they are more engaged in science related occupations.(3)Science capital has a significant positive prediction effect on science career aspirations.Science-related behavior practice,science-related cultural capital and science-related social capital in science capital have a significant positive prediction effect on science career aspirations through the parallel intermediary effect of science interest and science competency beliefs.(4)The science-related behavior practice,science-related cultural capital and science-related social capital in science capital have a significant positive prediction effect on science career aspirations through the chain intermediary effect of science interest and science competency beliefs.It has been discovered that when we consciously increase students' science capital and science interest,discuss the value of science career with them,and increase their science competency beliefs,students can form and enhance their science career aspirations.It is necessary to attach importance to the construction of students' science capital in social education,family education and school education so as to enhance their aspiration and achievement in the field of science.
