This research conducts a preliminary discussion focused the related issues on the application of project-based learning in senior high school chemistry teaching. At the same time, relevant research has been carried out by the methods of documentation, experiment and investigation. With the reform of basic education, the promotion of core competence is more important for the country to train talents in various industries. The new curriculum reform of chemistry in senior high school points out that in chemistry teaching, students should strengthen their study in nature and society, closely contact with life, and learn chemistry that is useful for lifelong development.Project-Based learning is a kind of teaching model that students focus on real and complex problems, through completing project tasks, making project works and finding solutions,so as to enhance comprehensive abilities, cultivate core qualities and promote all-round development.First of all, through the method of literature, the relevant research on project-based learning at home and abroad is sorted out to understand the current teaching situation of project-based learning at home and abroad.According to theoretical research, the design method of project-based learning mode is put forward.Taking Organic Chemistry Basis as an example, the project-based learning case of organic chemistry model is designed according to the elements of project-based learning design: project theme, project situation, project objective, project problem, project task, project activity, project result and project evaluation. The design of the whole case follows the principles of authenticity,student-centered,combination of knowledge and practice, and evaluability, which embodies the concept of student-oriented,in-depth learning, development of students' core competence and lifelong learning habits.Secondly, the design of project-based learning in organic chemistry is applied to a class in grade two of a middle school to implement teaching activities based on project-based learning.Through the examination of learning effect and evaluation ofactivities, the advantages of project-based learning are found: it can effectively promote students' deep learning and cultivate higher-order thinking;help students form the core accomplishment of the subject;improve students' comprehensive ability and students' learning efficiency;and help students understand themselves. Finally, the innovation of this study lies in the multi-aspect and multi-way evaluation of student activities in project-based learning,so as to achieve the goal of monitoring students' performance in the whole process of the project.Based on the evaluation results, reference suggestions are put forward for the implementation and development of project-based learning: to restore the contents of teaching materials to the real world as much as possible in chemistry teaching;diversify the evaluation methods;change the concept of teaching;communicate with parents and obtain their support and participation;students design and teachers give technical guidance.
