As one of the core literacy of chemistry,“model cognition” plays an important role in chemistry teaching.Apart from a deep understanding of the cognitive content of the model, teachers on the front should also consider how to develop students' model cognitive literacy in middle school chemistry teaching. This study is aimed at the organic chemistry review in the college entrance examination, which is complicated,difficult,time-consuming,and students don't fully understand. The research object selected in this paper is the ordinary class A and class B in senior three, which are taught by the author.Class A is randomly selected as the experimental class, and the class B is the control class. The author chooses organic inference as the teaching content, according to the connotation of model cognition, student's academic situation, and the characteristics of organic chemistry, teaching design of high school organic chemistry revisions based on model cognition. In the process of teaching practice, organic chemistry teaching based on model cognition is implemented in the experimental class, and students are guided to construct relevant cognitive models of organic inference in the implementation process, while traditional teaching is carried out in the control class. The author compiled two sets of homogeneous test volumes based on the model cognitive level assessment framework of the “organic inference” theme developed in this study. Before and after the teaching practice, the author used the model cognitive level test volume 1 and the model cognitive level test volume 2 to test students to analyze the changes in the cognitive level of the experimental class and the control class, and explore the teaching effects of this teaching practice.Analysis of the effect of this teaching practice, the author draws the following conclusions: organic chemistry teaching based on model cognition significantly improves students' model cognition level;organic chemistry teaching based on model cognition implements the requirements of new curriculum standard for cognitive literacy of student models.Through this teaching practice research, the author refines the following effectivechemistry teaching strategies based on model cognition, hoping to provide some reference for the teaching of high school organic chemistry: attach importance to student activities, and let students actively participate in the process of model construction;choose the right problem situation and help students build a cognitive perspective;guide students to construct models through teacher-student questions and answers;set gradient tasks to improve students' enthusiasm for learning;develop students' models application ability on the base of college entrance examination.
