The internationalization of higher education is not only an educational concept,but also an important condition for universities to stand on the world.And it is the inherent need for the evolution of universities.At present,the relevant researches on the motivation of universities' transnational education mostly stay at the theoretical level,and there are few positive references.In order to deeply comprehend the connotation of universities' transnational education,enrich the research system of internationalization of higher education,and promote higher education to play a greater role in the world,we need a relevant theoretical guidance,so a systematic study on the motivation of universities' transnational education is fairly needed.Literature research method,factor analysis approach,the questionnaire survey method and other methods were used in this study.The motivation of Chinese universities' transnational education is the research content,and it follows the this step: Firstly,based on the existing literature and research results,this paper combs the domestic and international background of universities' transnational education,as well as the relevant research situation of scholars on the motivation of universities' transnational education.Then,it bases on the scholars' researches on the internationalization of higher education,and a series of theory(the planning behavior theory,the social cognition theory,and the motivation theory),as well as the research on the main motivation of foreign universities' transnational education,constructing the theoretical model of the motivation of Chinese universities' transnational education.Thirdly,it designs the questionnaire of Chinese universities' transnational education,and analyses the questionnaire data,proving the research hypotheses.Finally,it provides enlightenment for promoting Chinese universities' transnational education.Through the results of data analysis,we can verify the hypothesis of universities' transnational education.Six hypotheses are verified,which consist of external needs and desires,internal needs and desires,external influence factors and feasibility,internal influence factors and feasibility,feasibility and intention,intention and behavior,and they have positive correlations.However,the hypothesis of desire and intention has not been tested.Based on the research conclusion,from government and university level,this paper puts forward enlightenment on how to promote the university to transnational education.
