With the continuous development of the curriculum reform of modern education, the core accomplishment of mathematics plays an increasingly crucial role in mathematics education. It meets the needs of individual lifelong development and is an important part of modern mathematics education. How to embody the core accomplishment of mathematics in solving math problems? How to cultivate mathematics core accomplishment? How to permeate the core accomplishment of mathematics in the ordinary problem-solving process? This paper takes the study of the maximum value problem of the area of the inner polygon of the bounded conic curve as an example, and explores the cultivation of the mathematical core accomplishment from the two aspects of problem solving research and teaching research. The first chapter of this paper describes the significance, methods content and so on of the research, and combs the core accomplishment, mathematical core accomplishment and the optimal value problem of the area of bounded conic inner polygon of the research status at home and abroad. The second chapter analyzes the related concepts and theoretical basis. In the third Chapter,we explore the maximum area of the inner polygon of a circle, ellipse and parabola under given conditions. In the fourth chapter, the author comprehensive analysis the solution process of the maximum value in the third chapter,to explore how the mathematical core accomplishment of students are embodied in this process,or where a link which reflects the level of what the core of mathematics accomplishment. In the fifth chapter, based on the above research on solving the conic curve maximum value problem,we design two teaching designs of exercises that can cultivate students' core accomplishment in mathematics. The sixth chapter is the research conclusion and future prospects.
