With the improvement of productivity and the acceleration of urbanization,more and more rural surplus labor force is transferred to cities.These migrant workers changed from "individual mobility" to "family migration".Therefore,the new vulnerable groups-migrant children(also known as migrant workers' children)began to attract attention.Meanwhile,more and more frequent topics such as education equity and vulnerable groups,more and more scholars begin to pay attention to the role of family background factors in children's academic achievements,but the influence of family factors on children's academic achievements cannot be generalized,and the impact on different groups is also different.Therefore,the influence of the family cultural capital of Xinjiang migrant workers' children on their academic achievements has begun attract the author's attention.This research adopts the empirical research paradigm,takes Bourdieu's cultural capital theory and F.Parkin's new social stratification theory as the theoretical basis,and takes Urumqi,Korla,Shihezi and Yining as the research objects,and adopts stratified random sampling to select samples,through ?Questionnaire on family cultural capital and adolescent academic achievement?data collected,and then a linear regression model was constructed,supplemented by interviews between the students and their parents.Finally,the factors influencing the differences in the academic achievement of the children in Xinjiang were explored.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)the amount of family cultural capital owned by the children who move with the family is lower than that of the local children in Xinjiang,and the family cultural capital of the children who move with the family is generally low;(2)the influence of the family institutionalized cultural capital,objectified cultural capital and specific cultural capital on the academic achievement of the children who move with the family is different.Among them,the education level and occupation of parents have a positive effect on the academic achievement of the children who move with them;the family collection variable in the objectified cultural capital has a significant effect on the academic achievement,and the extra-curricular guidance variable has no effect on the academic achievement of the children who move with them;the parent participation variable in the specific cultural capital of the family can effectively improve the academic achievement of the children who move with them Academic achievement,and the influence is greater than all family environment variables and participate in cultural and educational activities and other indicators.(3)The family cultural capital of the children moving with the family influences their academic achievement through different ways,among which the factors of institutionalized cultural capital influence their academic achievement by influencing the objectified and physical family cultural capital.
