The Study About College Entrance Examination Biology Questions Based On SOLO Taxonomy Theory

In 2014,the Ministry of Education promulgated the first batch of pilot cities for the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination as Zhejiang and Shanghai;in 2017,the second batch of pilot cities as Beijing,Tianjin,Hainan and Shandong;and in 2019,the third batch of eight provinces that launched the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination was promulgated as Hebei,Liaoning,Jiangsu,Fujian,Hubei,Hunan,Guangdong and Chongqing,respectively.The remaining provinces will also issue the reform plan of the college entrance examination in succession.This means that the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination has entered a new stage from the pilot reform in the east to the promotion in the central and western regions.The comprehensive reform of college entrance examination is related to the whole society.The examination trend of these three groups of pilot cities plays a leading role in the reform of college entrance examination in China.The SOLO classification theory,which is called "structure of the observed learning outcome(SOLO)",was proposed by professor Biggs.SOLO classification theory is mainly used to judge the learning quality and thinking ability of students.According to the learning process of students,students' thinking levels can be divided into five structural levels,from high to low,which are the level of abstract extension structure,the level of correlation structure,the level of multi-point structure,the level of single-point structure and the level of pre-structure.With the help of the solo classification theory,this paper formulates the criteria for dividing the test questions according to the specific situation of the thinking ability examined by the biological subjective questions in the college entrance examination.The order of the level of thinking abilit,from high to low,is: the level of abstract extended structure,the level of associated structure,the level of multi-point structure and the level of single-point structure.The corresponding levels are represented by English word E?R?M?U respectively.The study shows that in general,the hierarchical distribution map of the biological questions in the college entrance examination from 2017 to 2019 is mainly reflected by the double peaks.In all the double peak graph lines,the peak is U level at most,followed by R level.Moreover,the proportion of topics at each level fluctuates greatly in different years.The proportion of the questions in the abstract expansion structure fluctuates little,which plays a regulating role in the overall difficulty of the paper,and the students with the best thinking ability are selected through the difficult questions in this part.On the whole,the subjective questions of the biological college entrance examination in four provinces and cities all pay attention to the examination of basic knowledge and thinking ability,and pay attention to the examination of students' ability of understanding and flexible application of knowledge.(2)From a horizontal perspective,the relationship between the types of examination paper thinking level of these four provinces and cities is Zhejiang >Tianjin >Guangdong > Guangxi,which is basically consistent with the education level of the four regions.This shows that,with the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination,the college entrance examination papers also gradually from the idea of knowledge to the idea of ability,pay more attention to the examination of students' thinking ability and knowledge application ability.(3)From the longitudinal perspective,the proportion of u level topics in the four provinces and cities has shown a steady or steady upward trend in the past three years,while the most difficult e level topics,in addition to the college entrance examination in Zhejiang province,the other three provinces and cities show a steady or steady downward trend.This shows that the general trend of comprehensive reform of college entrance examination pays more attention to the examination of students' basic knowledge of books.Based on the statistical analysis of the biology college entrance examination entrance examination in four cities of Zhejiang,Tianjin,Guangdong and Guangxi in the past three years,it is found that there are some deficiencies in the proposition of college entrance examination,such as incomplete examination of the four levels of thinking in individual years,unreasonable distribution of the proportion of the four levels of solo classification theory and so on.In view of these deficiencies,the author put forward the following suggestions: 1.The testing system aspect:(1)Propositioning by means of solo classification;(2)Pay attention to the rationality of hierarchical proportion.2.Teachers' teaching :(1)Using SOLO classification theory to guide teaching practice;(2)Conduct multi-level teaching for students with different thinking levels.(3)Scientifically improve the thinking level of students.3.Students' exam preparation :(1)Pay attention to the integration of basic knowledge;(2)Cultivate biological scientific thinking.
