Cooperative learning is one of the commonly used teaching methods in secondary vocational schools,but it is often difficult to achieve the expected results due to the lack of rigorous design and control for the process in the teaching application.The Jigsaw Model,as a specific implement model of cooperative learning,values the major role of students,is equipped with rigorous operating procedures and can be the point of breakthrough to solve the problem of the poor effect of implementing cooperative learning in secondary vocational education.Firstly,the developing process,conception and some related theories of the Jigsaw Model were teased by literature review in this study,so as to provide the theoretical supports for the later research.Secondly,we investigated the present situation of the cooperative learning in the teaching of the professional courses of computer science in secondary vocational schools by the questionnaire,found out the existing problems and explored their main causes.Besides,we put forward the effective solution by combining with the characteristics of the teaching,the students and the Jigsaw Model in the professional courses of computer science in secondary vocational schools and the teaching design applying the Jigsaw Model for the professional courses in secondary vocational schools.Finally,taking the course of Graphic Design in secondary vocational school as an example,we adopted the quasi-experimental research method to carry out the practical research of the Jigsaw Model in the teaching of the professional courses of computer science in secondary vocational schools.We chose two parallel classes of applied computer science in LY secondary vocational specialized school as the quasi-experimental objects.The experimental class was taught by using the Jigsaw Model,while the control class is taught by using the traditional method of “explanation-exercise”.By analyzing the teaching effect of both two classes,we further explained that the effectiveness of the teaching of the professional courses of computer science in secondary vocational schools can be improved by the Jigsaw Model.The results of the questionnaires show that: First,there are some existing problems,such as poor teaching effect,the lack of instructions from teachers and the low responsibility of students in the cooperative learning of the professional courses of computer science in secondary vocational schools.Second,it is possible to use the Jigsaw Model to construct the class structure of “teachers as guides-students as subjects”,establish the interactive environment between teachers and students and clarify the learning tasks.Third,by the fully use of the Jigsaw Model,there would be an enhancement of students' classroom participation,learning motivation,sense ofself-efficacy and cooperation ability so as to further improve students' course learning effect.
