| RF front-end circuit is the key module of wireless communication system,development of low cost,high performance radio frequency integrated circuit is a kind of inevitable trend.Power amplifier(PA)is one of the biggest dissipation modules in RF transceiver;its performance will affect the cruising power of equipment,the life of battery,and the stability of the system,so the PA of low power consumption,high efficiency,and high integration level has great significance.With the development of the short distance wireless technology in recent years,the UWB power amplifier is also one of the hot spot of recent studies.This paper briefly introduces the research background and significance,the related literature of the RF power amplifier module at home and abroad in recent years is studied and summarized.Then,this paper presents a new type of high efficiency,low power,single point PA circuit and a low power UWB PA circuit,simulate circuit experiment and design Layout.The main work are as follows:1.Presenting a low power high efficient class E PA work at 2.4GHz frequency.The PA adopts two levels:Driver stage using current mirror circuit constitutes reducing the internal high impedance circuit nodes and power consumption,improving the linearity.Substrate-bias-technique is adopted to decrease the threshold voltage(Vth)and achieve better output performance under low work voltage.Simulation results show that,in supply voltage 2.3V,the PA get 27.8dBm of maximum output power and 48.3%PAE,power gain of 31.5dB and input matching is less than-1OdB.2.Presenting a low power UWB PA working in 3.75~10.5GHz frequency band.The PA adopts three-level common source amplifier structure,using shunt peaking and stagger-tuning and multistage amplification technology to achieve a big gain over all bandwidth.In addition,the first level is adopted feedback resistance to achieve a good impedance matching and wide bandwidth.Simulation results show that:in 3.75~10.5GHz frequency band,the maximum P1dB is 4.5dBm,power gain is 17±0.65dB,PAE is 17%,S11 and S22 are less than-3dB and-4.5dB respectively,the power consumption is about 18.74mW.Finally,the work in this paper is summarized and the research direction in the future has been put forward. |
