| This thesis introduced the theory of the Axis Period briefly,as well as the cultural context in China and the West in different angle such as religion,philosophy and literature.On the basics of it,using the method of comparative research,this paper systematically combed the literature work of China and the West in the Axis period,analyzed these similarities and differences from many aspects such as the evolution of document carrier materials,the development of binding form,the collation and compilation activities,the spreading and the collection of documents.The paper also explored the characteristics of the literature work both in China and the West during the period of the Axis Period and inductive analysis of the similarities and differences of it.The first chapter introduced the theoretical background of this research mainly by expounding the theory of Axis Period and its characteristics,summarized the historical background of this period from economic environment,political environment and social environment.This part pointed out the research purpose as comparing the characteristics,similarities and differences of the literature work between China and the West in the Axis Period from the visual angle,expounded the significance of the research from both the theory and the practice,summarized and reviewed the research status of the related researches.The second chapter summarized the cultural environment of Chinese and the Western in the Axis Period from religious ceremony,philosophical thought and literature and art.The third chapter introduced the characteristics of Chinese and Western literature in this period from the aspects of carrier material and binding form of literature,and made a comparative analysis of their similarities and differences.In the Axis Period,the literature of oracle bone,bronze,stone and silk were popular in China,while in the west,clay and papyrus were used as the carrier.In the form of binding,the Chinese literature is mostly presented in the form of scroll and folding,while in the west,it is in the form of single page,scroll and album of books.Chapter four introduced the characteristics of the literature collation and compilation between China and the West,analyzed their similarities and differences.As far as the same points are concerned,the collation and compilation of Chinese and western literature can be divided into two forms: government organization and private organization.At well as there are some differences between them,for example,there are great differences in the purpose and circulation condition of government organized literature between China and the West.Chapter five compared the characteristics of China and the West from two aspects of literature dissemination and collection.In the aspect of literature dissemination,in terms of similarities,both China and the West have oral communication and transcribing communication.To a certain extent,some regional wars have contributed to the dissemination of documents.As far as the differences are concerned,the western books have been disseminated by traded,the Chinese imperial court gave books to their ministers as gifts,these phenomenon are their relatively unique document dissemination ways in this period.In the aspect of literature collection,the similarities lied in the fact that the literature collection of China and the West can be divided into two types: the official collection and the private collection.There are great differences between China and the West in the collection purpose and service object of the official collection.There are also differences in the ways of collection and storage of private collection.The sixth chapter summarized the forms,collation and compilation,dissemination and collection of the literature,and systematically commented on the similarities and differences between Chinese and western literature work in the above aspects.At the same time,the limitations of this study are expounded,and the preliminary prospect of further research is made in this chapter. |
