Research On Interaction Ritual Chains And Emotional Energy Through Barrage Video

As an extension of the commentary culture,the barrage video integrates users'comments on the objective timeline of the video,breaking the viewing pattern of the traditional online video.The barrage users are characterized by being younger in age,larger in volume and more diversified in language,which contains great research value.As more and more people began to accept this new interactive model,academic study about barrage culture is to be perfected.This article takes barrage video and the interaction of its users as the entry point,and studies the interaction ritual in barrage video and the users' emotional attitude.Based on Collins' theory of Interaction Ritual Chains,this article is illustrated by cases from Bilibili in the perspective of literature analysis,participant observation and content analysis to explore the formation and evolution of the interaction ritual in barrage video,and to draw its pattern of Interaction Ritual Chains.Meanwhile,through the establishment of the emotional energy model of the barrage group,this paper provides feasible suggestions for guiding the healthy and harmonious development of barrage culture.This paper consists of four parts:The first part gives an overview of the concepts of barrage video,combs the development history,status and characteristics of barrage video in China,and reviews the studies of barrage video at home and abroad.The second part overviews the interactive behavior and regulations of barrage video in Bilibili in order to analyses the barrage group.It is believed that the users of Bilibili mainly interact in three ways,namely with the barrage video,the other barrage comment,and the video uploader.The group is characterized by youthfulness,aggressiveness,and collective excitement,and participates in the carnival finally construct an imagined community.The third part analyzes the ingredients of the interaction ritual in barrage video.The research finds that barrage video enable users to be synchronous presence through the Internet media,so that can take the mutual-focus and share the emotional information through the release of barrage comments,to gain the sense of community identity and belonging.The fourth part analyzes the results of the interactive ritual in barrage video.The paper suggests that barrage users can complete an interactive ritual each time he participates in an interaction,and through this process users can accumulate the emotional energy in individual to promote the interactive ritual.Ultimately,the group will form the symbols of social relationship(sacred objects),thus constructing a complete interactive ritual chain model.Moreover,by building an emotional energy model to analyze the emotional attitudes of barrage group,the research believes that their emotional tendencies are positive and full of future visions.Although they are also affected by the negative information such as vulgar content and pornographic topics,by means of spreading positive energy and cultivating users' media literacy,improving barrage technology and perfecting laws and rules,it is believed that we can jointly create a healthy,harmonious and sustainable culture environment of barrage video.
