Research On The Impact Of CSR On Earnings Quality

In 2006,Chinese government put forward in the revised Company Law that companies should undertake social responsibility(CSR).And a series of guidelines and policies have been introduced to guide enterprises to fulfill and better fulfill CSR.After more than ten years of development,CSR in China has been top-level designed from the national strategy and policy level,and has established the industry,regional and national implementation standards,the practice and management of CSR has been continuously strengthened.However,the phenomenon of lacking CSR consciousness is still common,and the overall performance is low.The report of Research on CSR in China(2016)shows that the CSR Development Index of the top 300 enterprises is still in the initial stage.Undertaking the CSR is not only the long-term and sustainable development needs of enterprises,but also the inherent demand of the whole country's economic development and social progress.On the basis of existing research,this paper further explores the mechanism and transmission path of CSR on earnings quality.Based on theory of cognition,expectation and attribution in psychology,combined with the theory of biological symbiosis and multivariate capital,this paper constructs the multiple capital symbiosis model of CSR,and establishes a theoretical framework to explain the impact of CSR on earnings quality.This article holds that enterprise is the multiple capital symbiont invested by stakeholders,and the CSR is the return to the owners of multiple capital.When stakeholders are satisfied with the CSR,they will increase multiple capital investment,thus promoting multiple capital in symbiotic,and releasing symbiosis process energy which influence business and financial activities,and risk management.And ultimately help enterprises to improve earnings quality.This paper analyze and validate the process and path effect of CSR on earnings quality through the case of SZGD Company,and put forward reasonable suggestions for SZGD Company to sthrengthen CSR from the responsibility management,responsibility practice and information disclosure.The advantages of case study method is to highlight situation,display process and reveal relationship,this study provides a theoretical basis and practical evidence that the CSR can create value,which could promote CSR management and practice of Chinese enterprises,and improve the performance level of CSR in China.
